Quick correction: The white mask and Lord of Blood talisman buffs proc whenever there is a bleed proc near you, that inludes the bleed proc on yourself from seppuku which gives you a free buff at the beginning of a fight.
Even better.
lasts only for around 15 seconds
time starts ticking when u are still caught in the seppuku animation, so you effectively have around 12 seconds of an insanely strong buff.
with a +25 occult Uchi/Nakakiba, i get about 750AR when I buffed it with Seppuku before fight, and it goes up to 1k AR with rotten insignia(this is on 40/60/80) build

With my testing, I cant see that the white mask and the talisman stack? In my testing it looks like they overwrite eachother instead.

I showed my friends at school your walkthrough of bloodborne that I used when I first played it a few years ago. They loved it with the casual rage and my friends telling their mom sorry (one of them lived at their mom’s house still) and completed it after four months and I got to not only play with them but we got to become closer as friends and even got to be a part of the college basketball team in some games too because of our bonding. So I just wanted to say thank you so much FightinCowboy and keep up the amazing work. I just got Elden ring and I can’t wait to use all these different builds you make as I and others put their life time into completing this game!!!

This is everything I was looking for. I tried out the Mohgwyn Spear in invasions with the Leaden Hardtear for my Physick and I was able to get unlimited poise. Trapping people in a room with that ritual is so fun
What was his starting class? Because with the samurai class, being level 150 with the same stats as he is showing is impossible

PSA using Rock sling the immediately switching to dragon incantation will remove the start up animation allowing you to get it of much quicker. I would recommend putting one to the left amd right when you memorise it at sight Of grace

With Bloodboon, you can also *release the target lock while casting and aim at where the enemy is about to run to when they’re circling you* or even better: *Toss the blood right at your feet as they try to rush you*
I can not tell you how many times people end up rolling right into the blood and losing all of theirs in less than a second

This is what I need. Was working on the Seethewater Stabber, cause why not! But I've been playing Bleed from the start, warrior of course! I've got a few options now. Seethewater. Master of Blades, and I can give this one a go, giving my prophet a purpose! Thanks for the build ideas.
Cheers for mentioning marais executioner sword, from the moment that dude showed up at night at warmaster shack and destroyed my ass with that sword I wanted to focus a build around that thing haha. Glad they fixed arcane scaling so I can use it now
That sword would have been so much better if the WA was the telekinetic swings and not the weird drilling bit, but's it's a cool sword nonetheless.
Haha I literally respecced my bleed dex arcane build not too long ago just to see it get some amazing buffs and arcane scales now. Definitely gonna come back to my original build after I'm done wrecking with the blasphemous greatsword 🔥 🔥
I had a Str/faith Pally using fire and the blasphemous. Was so strong it made the game boring. I deleted that lvl 160 character. Lol

@@samwiselemon6420 I felt like lvl 160 was too high. I tought it would block me from plating with other people that stop leveling at 150. And, i did power level myself. So i had a good chunk of the game left to do. Felt lile i had no eeason to on that character. I'm having a lot more fun on my actual playthru and discovering a lot of thing i had skipped over.

Cool thing about elanora poleblade that i have noticed, is that you can actually delay the 2nd weapon art to throw off the timing on your opponent
Arcane Incant scaling hard caps at 45 but status build up hardcaps at 50 up to you to decide if those 5 points are worth it.
Uplifting Aromatic which is made with Perfume Bottles have the same function as Opaline Bubbletear, I'm not sure why people don't utilize these very much. You can use ten of them per crafting session, and while they take 4 items, they're items that are easy to farm in massive quantities.
Should try the Nightrider flail as an option for this build because that's a Dextritiy Strike & Bleed based weapon.
Would be fun and unique since everyone is pretty much a katana user now lol...
@@kassaken6521 I’m using a bloody slash misericorde and a reduvia in the offhand. the L1 combos are nutty at building up bleed procc’s
you can run occult instead of bleed and dump all of those dex points to arcane instead to boost both AR+bleed+incant scaling.
I was using Mohgs spear before the update and it was absolutely wrecking everything, like 3 shotting some endgame bosses. I can only imagine the damage it out puts now they fixed the scaling lol

I'd recommend free aiming bloodboon, it does pretty good damage if you actually hit them with the initial splash. it's not that hard to land it once you get used to it cuz of the wide arc it can go in.
I'm running a similar build with eleonora's in the right hand and occult godskin with seppuku in the left hand. Also I'd replace flock's with the dragon greatshield talisman to offset that damage taken using the soreseal.
He offsets it with golden oath
The poleblade also does a good amount of stagger, can definitely be useful against bosses that are slower

Honestly I think Radagon's Soreseal is worth it on any build that's running on a physical damage stat. I don't think 13% is going to spell the difference between life or death most of the time, and even weapons that have A scalings in Strength or Dexterity also have like, E or D scaling in the other stat for the most part that I've noticed, so it's an albeit negligible double dip. That said, Marika's Soreseal is a lot more dubious and I could only see someone using it if they were trying to squeeze all 3 casting types together.
13% is so much though, it definitely makes the difference between dying or not in muliple situations.

Running the dragon crest greatshield talisman offsets the dmg pretty well.
I'm gonna need to try this type of build out and start my ng+ tomorrow. I want double of some weapons. So good!
Cowboy you make the best videos hands down. That said, I am currently running rivers in right and a blood uchi in left with 105 bleed build before the ash of war. It's a little more efficient at blood build than 2 rivers.

this is the same build I have on my second character. SUPER HYPED that arcane weapons are all working now. I love the bloody helice but really needed some more options.
Can u have multiple characters on the same save or do u have to restart the whole game again?
@@GunnyPA every new character is a new game. my friend and I just figured out early how to level up quick and the shortest path to items and spells we need for build making and basically I got my second character to lvl 100 in like an afternoon.
Just going to throw this out there but Warhammer named "Envoy's Long Horn".
Weapon art is amazing. Give it try on a Strength/Faith build.
It's the larger gold doot stick from the larger marshmallow people that spin around.
Running the exact build on my second playthrough with a couple of tweaks.
1. Running Milicents Prosthesis, Rotten Winged Sword Insignia, Lord of Blood Exultation and Green Turtle Talisman/Claw Talisman with Raptors Black Feather chest
2. Change one of the Godskin peelers ash of war to either Hoarfrost stomp or Chilling Mist with Cold affinity. Makes this even more ridiculous. The haemorrhage and frostbite combo is nutty.
Agree completely on eleonoras, the huge movement really makes it so you connect on maybe 1/3 of the hits unless its a large boss. One that should be a honorable mention is the cross naginata. This item with occult and sepuku is so disgusting, its been meta for a while but its moveset is disgusting and you can use spear talisman for giga counter attack bonus damage. Powerstancing 2 of them isnt terrible either but it changes it to basically only pokes which i dont love.
Have you tried ripple crescent halberd or ripple blade on a pure arcane build? super interesting weapons that get up to s tier pure arc scaling, they don't have bleed but can but be enchanted with bloodflame, lightning or whatever. super versatile in how you can apply whatever type of damage you need to them and they pack a punch for things that are bleed resistant.
For the fashion I've been rolling with the drake knight set and the white mask and with the frenzied eyes I think it looks really good and keeps your equip load low not the greatest poise but looks sick.
I have not tried these bigger weapons but I really like the starting katana for a bleed build. It has a pretty fast swipe and does a lot of bleed damage. Bloody slash carries me through most of the game until I get seppuku and it is even stronger. I also like to use a shield for boss fights and I like to use regular sized swords with that. A lot of people say the scavenger curved swords are better but they do much less bleed damage but they do swing faster so I will give them ago and see how they do.
A note for Excutioner's Sword, you can one shot people in pvp with the weapon skill itself if they connect
Honestly I have been having a blast with duel wielding Hoslow's petal whip. Natural bleed and can go occult with them.
I use those with bloodhound step as my off-hand. The power stance moveset is fun, but I find it a bit slow. Powerstancing dual Flamberges is also great fun and instableeds anything you hit on top of superb poise damage.
I've been experimenting by dual wielding with all of my weapons with bleed, but the cross naganatas with the double seppuku still my favorite

how can you get two of the same weapons? he has two rivers of blood and two of the god skin peeled. i only have one of each
@@chris9834 As far as I'm aware there are only 3 ways. The first would be to have a someone drop you the weapon in co-op, the second is to use the duplication 'glitch' which also involves a co-oper, and the third is to go NG+.

Gotta love how From Soft nerfed a pve weapon like Sword of Night&Flame, but made arcane and bleed weapons like this katana easy mode for pvp.
Not feeling the double twinblade setup myself. You'll be better off with double Scavenger's if you're just wanting bleed since they make that double attack faster, with a bit more range.
Twinblade is still solid with 2handing though

I'm using Eleanor with the peeler in power stance. Both are leveled almost all the way. I proc Bleed instantly it seems. I'm not using any buffs 1s5 or anything like that. It's probably the most fun I've had with any weapons. I love it
I agree that Eleanoras poleblade is… not great. That skill misses all the time against moving enemies (all bosses). As for Rivers of Blood, I suggest only using one, and putting Uchigatana/Nagakiba off hand. You can seppuku the offhand, proc damage bonuses, and then you have free access to River’s skill. I found this to be a great way to run around the world as you only have to keep up one sepukku (way less “management”, and still enough bleed procs)
Good build. I liked using rivers of blood on main and an occult uchigatana with seppuku on off hand. Start fights with seppuku then powerstance. Can’t remember my lvl 150 stats but I hit 80 arcane first. 20 endurance, 40 vit and the rest into dex. Nothing into mind/int/faith/str. It basically breaks the game. Also no radagon’s seal. Fourth would change depending on situation.

@@gamer8622 yeah, if there was one weapon or spell that was downright busted that e would be a problem, but there’s like 15-20 part of the fun of the game is that there are so many god tier weapons for us to play with and open world to unleash carnage upon.
@@pawnpure123 exactly, many weapons are god tier, possible diversity was never bigger in a Souls game ever. Thing is, most people aren't too good and will gravitate to builds that are easy to use, Moonveil falls nicely in that category.
But I fear with so many people crying about it will make From overreact and nerf all the cool shit we have, then it will be clear: that's why we can't have nice things.
@@matheusmterra yeah, that’s basixky what happened to dark souls 3. I think the game will start to chill out soon as UA-camrs will show off my weapons and people will watch the vids and start to branch out.
Thanks for the build. I have similar one, but I went 60 arcane 23 faith (going to 36 faith just to use Placidusax ruin was too heavy of an investment- 13 points just to use this one spell, which I find unreliable :D ). But your build ideas are amazing, taking some inspiration from you :-). I run with Nagakiba + Uchi (in NG+ I will do dual Nagakiba). I tried Godskin peeler, and while stats (esp. bleed build-up is insane) are amazing, I find the moveset too clunky and in PvP I wasnt able to hit anyone with it :D ).
ended up going for eleonara's poleblade with the blood godskin peeler (w/ seppuku) in the offhand - between them they cause more than enough bleed buildup and can use the eleonara weapon art to decent effect in PVP, especially with high poise (60 or so)
Dude bleed is crazy I got 2 bleed builds one with whips and the other with katanas they also got some source or faith depending on what I feel is good but it's so awesome would recommend
I finished my first playthrough rocking power-stance Morgott's Cursed Sword + Bloodhound Fang, with heavy dex investment. While the focus on bleed is nowhere close to CB's build, it was still beefy. 10/10 would recommend :D

@@Sinsofcarolina erm...I think 40 vigor, 25 end, base mind, str for requirements, base int, base faith, arc for requirements. Rest went into dex. I think I had 76-78 at the very end. + the dex head piece. As for talismans...I don't remember, meaning, they were not THAT important :D

Hmmmm, since im not as into casting as cowboy, a similar build that drops some faith and mind for more dex and str is looking tasty
Finishing my final touches on a bleed build now since that was my goal from day one well before the patch. Bloody nagakiba and ROB, knight calvary armor(cause it's sick) all knowing mask(I think you get the look Im going for), then you standard talismans needed and pretty much same incantations.
that last fight when u ran and the guy chased right into a jumping dragon laser beam lol..had to of felt good🤣
Even Cowboy thinks rivers of blood is too much haha. I have a feeling that rivers of blood is going to be getting the nerf hammer. Feels way to easy to blow people up with it from a safe distance, especially considering u will still get the bleed proc through shields and its so good at roll catching.
would be real nice for simplicity if you didn't have on the talismans when showing stats

People have been going crazy in discord asking for new builds after the nerf to their precious broken night and flame sword, erdtree shield, hoardfrost stomp etc. I'll direct them here 🤣. I personally enjoy my broken sorcery build, but will definitely give this a try because I have 2 Peelers.

Thoughts on the Ripple Crescent Halberd? (S Arcane scaling halberd that you can use weapon embues with)
There is an armor top that boosts damage from jump attacks fit perfectly with this build.
Double twinbladed doesn't really make a lot of sense.. the only really improved move is the jump attack. I'm def going to run this tho.

@@SoI_Badguy the first hit dies negligable damage and no poise damage at all so you're essentially swinging a greatsword with less range and damage. Powerstancing is a bit better.
Scavenger curved sword is just better anyways
I've been using Eleonoras pole blade in pvp and its ash of war is kinda hard to land, but if you do land it it will probably kill whoever you are fighting or at least get close
It does insane stagger damage in PvE. Like, you only need thev first part of the weapon art for most normal enemies. Is it ther snee with PvP?

Dunno if it applies fully, or if it stacks with the other buffs, but you could test out "Flame, Grant Me Strength" if you're running Rivers of Blood, since it has dual physical and fire DMG (?)
I would think it would apply fully, as Flame Grant me Strength buffs my Blasphemous Blade which has dual phys/fire damage.

I’ve recently switched to a arcane/faith build and I’m planning on using dual rivers of blood. Right now I’m preparing for ng+, this helps me enhance my build.
Though instead of using godskin peeler I feel like Eleonora’s pole blade might be a better choice or it’s just more fun to use.

Is white mask better than the mask that gives +8 into arcane? Wouldn’t getting more bleed procs outweigh the increase in base damage of your weapon swings?
The White Mask effect is more significant than having 53 arcane instead of 45

For pvp I'd switch bloodboon for pest threads. It's basically incantation version of stars of ruin

@@zizz956 bleed works just fine without arcane, I have 12 arcane and on my blood godskin peeler +18 I can proc bleed every 2-4 hits depending on the enemy. Arcane is just needed to scale most weapons that have inherent bleed built in, and for blood/dragon incantations. I think it may cause bleed to proc faster too, not sure, but you can get bleed procs pretty damn fast without it.

I love seeing all these bleed builds now to compare mine, I made my mind to make a vampire type build my guy's name is Vlad the Impaler!!! (using bleed with bloodhound step and health back benefits with melee from talismans and dragon incantations because Dracula means dragon) ..my build just got a whole lot better after the patch and I'm loving seeing everyone on the ban wagon ..also I use rivers of blood in my left hand btw cause bloodhound step is just better for defense along with offensive capabilities
Love that man. Roleplaying in these games in the best. First playthrough i went like a moonlight wolf swordsman. Blaidds armor with dark moon greatsword and some spells. 2nd playthrough i ran similar to this vid, blood dragon.

How does the arcane stat effect bleed in general?
Will a +25 Godskin Peeler with Seppuku also have 132 blood loss buildup with a 9 arcane, or is it that high only because of your 45 in arcane?
Basically I am asking, other than making arcane scaling weapons more effective, or meeting minimum stat thresholds for incantations, does arcane make bleed build up occur any faster or does it increase the percentage of damage done by bleed build up? If it doesn't make bleed any more effective, wouldn't you be better off just getting arcane to the minimum you need to equip what you want, than pump dex or faith up from there?

I feel you might have better luck with the gargole twin blade, bleef buff it and if you get enough poise just murder them instantly

I think quality is what he suggested on his walk through since it's a nice balance and you can use just about any weapon. Plus allows you to use bloodhound's fang early which is a strong weapon throughout the entire game.
Restarting to find a better build isn't going to help you. If you die, it's because you either need to come back to the boss later or just keep trying to learn the fight.
Silly question which I think I know the answer to, but you can only get one rivers of blood per play through right? Same goes for all that are considered unique weapons
instead of the chest piece im using a similar one with raptor feathers for the extra jump damage with twinblades
love this video, but is it possible to make one without using dual of the same weapon? I want to use a bleed build for NG not NG+

Use the normal twinblade, the blood version buildup is similarly high
just use normal twinblade or normal uchigatana, the difference in damage is minimal

At level 150 how do you have so many attribute points? I could copied your stats, but only ended up with 40 vigor.

Before the game came out, I spoiled myself on some leaks and this is the build I decided on.
This is cool and I've been running something similar with Occult Nagakibas. I do think an occult seppuku nagakiba seems strictly better as the offhand weapon with rivers of blood, vs the double rivers, since it should be similar but with the seppuku upside vs no useful weapon art on the offhand rivers. With my build/occult scaling I can leave dex low and push arcane to 60, which increases damage, spell damage, and bleed amount. I was running double Seppuku for a while, and that was instableeding on any L1 including roll/dash attacks at level 115. It's a pain to use before fights though, and locks you out of weapon swaps, so I switched right hand to bloodhound step with seal/parry shield. It's 98% to insta bleeding, unfortunately, it might work if I use double blood scaling but that hurts the AR so I haven't tried.
also the quietly most busted thing about this (bleed is obviously busted) is how much incant scaling you get with dragon communion seal from almost no investment. not as much as a pure faith build, but not too far off. arcane points from 45 onward give about as much as faith points from 30-45, btw.

Yeah he was in Lakes of Liurnia. Probably ran into me doing the blood finger quest. But I made it easy I would run up and turn around except one guy tried to kick me to death so I had to fight that one out.
