For longer wearability I prefer none, ;-). Keum boo in places that won't come in contact with any other materials or wear and tear (maybe the inside of a hollow shape) could be an option. Otherwise it can wear off. Gold plating will definitely wear off. Don't go there unless you want to have a year to year reunion with all your customers.
I've never used gold leaf, I'm confused about how it manages to stick to the surface😅 I have an experimental piece laying around that could use some yellow but I can't oxidize it with a flame or the design gets ruined, do I have to heat it up to do this? (Also it's not silver, it's alpacca)
Great job but the gold foil is to thin it should be at least 13microns that is the thickness of traditional keum boo
