    Can’t wait for this to come out! 🖤
    EDIT: definitely very, very helpful lesson. I can confirm myself that playing tense is one of the things that are going to ruin your stamina the most. My playing has experienced a dramatic change once I understood how important is to REALLY relax

    • @stephanforte
      @stephanforte  4 роки тому +3

      That's awesome! :) Yes, being relaxed is definitely the key, it's not easy though, you need to really be focused and aware of everything going on when you practice. Practice well my friend, and thanks for your comment !

    "It might be Rick Graham... Master Rick Graham" said Master Forté.
    Brilliant explanation. Greetings from Spain.

    I think that the difference between playing fast and slow is that youre not using the same muscle fibers.. so that is why you need to practice slow at first but then practice fast and calibrate at high speed because those are different fibers you have to train

    Great lesson, thank you Stéphan !!! Tension was my main issue, I have started to be aware of that just a month ago and sicne then my playing has improved dramatically. Something really cool that I am doing when I face a very intricated picking pattern is to practice the right hand only with muted strings, and one it can go up to tempo I add the left one. Sometimes I practice even the left hand alone, to be sure that it's not undertrained in comparison to the right.
    Looking forward to the next video, live well with the people you love man

      Nice strategy, left hand alone practice is one of the most efficient! :)

    I loved it; I realized that some of them I had already incorporated in my playing throughout the years by self-practice and experimentation since I am mostly self-taught but I think it was great the way you pointed out those in a really effective way especially from your standpoint of such talent and experience. Thank you Stephan, you are definitely one of my most favorite guitarists of all time and I wish you had been more recognized since I believe you deserve far more attention and recognition but you still manage to be humble and down to earth. It's really heartwarming to see that combination of talent and humbleness

      Stéphan Forté I am confident it will. Have you ever thought of talking about whammy bar technique? I know that is something I always struggle with. Trying to get those Becker sounds is hard. Not sure if anyone else has trouble but just wanted to put it out there. Thanks for replying Stephan.

    A mon avis, une vidéo qui fera date. C'est certainement la vidéo qui explique le mieux et le plus concrètement la manière de développer la vitesse en aller/retour. Et j'en ai vu des vidéos et de très grands shredders. Tom Quayle est sur ce thème très bien mais pour le legato. Je pense qu'il faudrait que tu insistes sur les changements de corde en aller-retour quand on accélère, mais peut-être être est-ce pour une autre video ;) Merci! Grande vidéo pédagogique !

    • @stephanforte
      @stephanforte  4 роки тому +1

      Un immense merci pour ce cool commentaire!!! je suis vraiment ravi :) Oui effectivement, j'aurais pu insister sur le changement de corde, mais je suis en train d'écrire une méthode sur la virtuosité avec des modules videos qui vont bien plus dans le détail, donc ce sera expliqué ;)

      Haha, non, au contraire!!! Tu as juste à appliquer lentement et dès que ces concepts sont maitrisés (économie de mouvement) tu vas pouvoir accélérer plus facilement. Je n'ai pas dit que cela se ferait du jour au lendemain bien sûr, c'est long, mais ce n'est pas difficile. Bon courage :)

    Commentaire totalement hors sujet :
    Ta coupe de cheveux déboîte !! Je vais te la piquer , j'ai presque la même longueur :) tu m'excuseras ^^
    Plus sérieusement :
    La vidéo est au top, je bosses depuis quelques temps la méthode de monsieur Rondat.
    La base reste toujours la même : mouvement que du poignet.
    À haut débit, j'ai remarqué que tu te "crispais" un peu, tu donnes plus d'angle à ton mediator et le mouvement semble provenir davantage de l'avant bras.
    Je vais tester.
    Merci.
