Thank you for the kind words! It's really easy to miss things when sampling - I can't tell you how many times I finished a sampling run to realize I didn't have a pendant equipped or a prayer turned on.
Just to complete the guide for the new spots they don't have any good spot between the 3 and the same sets of lure and strings work for them as well but if you go for the equinox fish its strange. Use the gold fish set for equinox and sample until you hit the highest of the 4 numbers it gives, because the way it works is it's the same fish at every depth so you just go til you hit the green depth and that gives the highest print.
The part where Krakens on the left and manta rays on the right wasnt the confusing part, its doing the last part in reverse when u did everything elce in order. so it was alittle annoying skipping 2 the end sampling 4 Skellifish but not knowing what Bait and Line 2 use then going further back ''the Tigershark'' only then is the information about the thingy was given.(manta ray was also not given B8 and ----- info at the time)
The idea is that you finish sampling Bloaches in the second fishing map, then start with Krakens in the third fishing map so you don't need to switch gear, lines, and lures. Then move onto Manta Rays, Sand Sharks, and Skelefish. This allows you to save some time when sampling. For the Manta Rays, you use the same lure and line that you would for Jellyfish.
Jfyi the xp loss from royal sampler can absolutely be ignored. Even at max it comes out to a tiny amount. It's just deceptively worded so most people assume it's going to be a serious penalty.
That is true for mid to late game players, but it is still worth the warning for early game players as they do not have the extra EXP bonuses to make up the difference.
It is worth sampling the new fish - We had already recorded this video before the new fish were available. You can use the sample lure/line setup for the different fish, and I have not noticed a particular difference in samples from the 3 different fishing spots.
Kraken is the rarest fish in the 3rd fishing map. You need to increase your purple depth while fishing in the 3rd map to have the best chance at catching Krakens.

The Void Walker Eternal Str talent also gives additional points to fist of rage on all characters.
