I'm afraid that, apart from tires, the KO components have always a very tiny misalignment, or a notable discrepancy, with original ones. I wouldn't hope for it.

@@omegasupreme1970 you're absolutely right. If you don't pay attention, lot of attention, to specific details, KO look like originals. Thank you so much! My Optimus has all the markings except the chassis. My trailer says T2 in the hitch mount, and 1980, 1982 Japan. Can you help me with this?
I wouldn’t be surprised they used components from previous versions, although I found such practise only with 4s. Do you want me to do a tutorial for the trailer too?

My Optimus has every single thing that indicates its real except it has no number on the back of its head. The wheels are even bloated and I don't think any KO has replicated that. My Optimus seems like it could be one of the earliest released as its also a prerub. Would this explain the head? The trailer just has a T and says 1980, 1982 Japan.
It would be nice to be able to inspect it :D. Yes, by the sound of it, it looks like it's a 1. Can you find any number at all inside the legs? If your case is one those just after the Takara production, you should find a mark just inside one thigh (like a number o a letter). it is a diaclone left over. I have the first US prime. The trailer has metal plates instead of stickers and no hasbro stamp or rub sticker. It also has a stronger spring and will send roller flying.
I’ve found one from flea market which is interesting. Trailer has T2 stamp only. No manufacturer, date and location. Just a blank . However both optimus and trailer have 3s everywhere. Some said it is KO but optimus matches every sign with your original. I am confused.
If still having the Takara and Hasbro logo but is missing the location place, well that’s a Mexican one from IGA, it’s original ‘cause in those years Mexico has a law that blocked every product from the exterior, so hasbro wanting to sell in Mexico they just hired a company called IGA and sent them the molds, this was just like a year in the 1984 ‘cause after the earthquake of 1985 Mexico remove that law and open his market and Hasbro finally enter in Mexico, also Hasbro told to IGA to sell all the inventory to Europe (and that’s something interesting ‘cause the Europe IGA variants are usually a little bit expensive now in days) and stop making it, so it’s probably that
Thanks! :) Unfortunatelly I cannot find consistency with most of the accessories. I found the roller sometimes is numbered, though tbh both original and ko are pretty much the same and I really struggle to show the minimal differences. I'm constantly keeping an eye open though. Fingers crossed :)
I actually own thee "T" variants. Two Takara #2 and one Takara-Hasbro #2 stamp. I have a T2 as well, and it is indeed a #3, and so is my 1992 G2 "T2" #3 variant.
@@emilianoborselli9787 Years back in greece they brought us one optimus prime close to this, which was way worst than this KO! Personally, I wouldn't even try to remove any part of the figure, no matter how easily removable. The meaning of the character is just too important, and if I'm able to completely remove even just a single smokestack, that meaning is totally gone
Depends on what your doing. I buy used Jetfire figures and fix them up. I remove everything, clean them up and in some cases, completely repaint them into Macross figures. Even if I didn't repaint them, cleaning them up requires all the pieces to be removed so as to get rid of all the yellowing and such. I do this with my other Masterpieces as well as I just turned one of my DX9 Blaster into Twincast.

Could be, but hard to say tbh. How did you get your Optimus? It's not too uncommon having a figure with shuffled components versions, though normally the head should have a number, unless it's from the very first original Takara Tomy line. Though I wouldn't know for sure.
Well, I do not entirely disagree. However, many people don't have the eye to see actual differences. This video is made for them... and whoever is curious to see what's inside without ruining thier own original.
To be honest, if it wasn't for the slight differences, it would look very much like the original. The quality of the plastic and die-cast parts is good too. Sturdy and well painted. :)
