- Hey everyone, so in this video, I will be giving you 5 tips and tricks that will hopefully assist you during your day at Knott's Berry Farm. This video is mostly for people who are either visiting for the first time, haven't visited in a really long time, or are just a bit inexperienced with the park. I want you to be able to make the most out of your day while at the park, because the park is currently operating a bit differently than normal due to the current pandemic.

Great tips. Your #1 tip of getting to park early is essential. Other tips I recommend are pack snacks, eat a good breakfast before entering the park. Eat a late lunch when the lines are shorter, eat dinner after you leave the park. If a guest arrives early enough I recommend two rides on Beary Tales if the wait is not long.. Once to just watch everything that's goes on and the other to use the Beary barrel gun to shoot the foxes and pies. Put on the sun block as because of Covid rules the spacing of the wait lines and limited shade you can end up standing in the sun when the lines get long. Avoid playing the carnaval games till late in the day to keep from carrying large stuffed animals through the park.

@@M-NL2 i just got out of knotts berry farm lol. We literaly got there at like 1:00. We had fast pass though so it felt like we got there at like 9:00. 4th time going in one month
When I went to knotts berry farm with my band and ghost rider was closed the whole day

Trip planning tip... Ghostrider always closes for maintenance between Labor Day & the start of Scary Farm. And again after Scary Farm until the start of Merry Farm. If you plan a trip during these weeks, the crowds will be very light but you won't get Ghostrider.

@@Sunsun-ev2xd it is actially. It saves money on tickets. Besides the special events (which you get a discount for having a pass, halloween,christmas, etc.) You could litterally show up scan your card and your in.
Listening to that queue music for beary tales gets very annoying lol

@@M-NL2 yeah I know and I love how it's a bit 4ough but not like the giant dipper at belmont park, that thing needs some retracting I don't care who but it needs it. Ghostrider is too smooth

I always get to the park early.
Why do we need tips??? Knotts is empty during the day. The only time it gets remotely full of people is during Knotts Scary Farm. Otherwise it’s a walk on for most open rides.

Yes, arrive early. Make your reservation for 10 AM. I did that today and got on Ghostrider, Xcelerator, and Hangtime multiple times by noon, and also got a ride on Silver Bullet and Montezooma’s Revenge. I actually was able to stay on both Hangtime and Xcelerator as there was no line at all. It was a different story later in the day. An hour wait for all of the large attractions all the way until closing time. Even on a pre-Memorial Day Monday, the park was pretty packed. People are definitely excited that KBF is back open.
And this is *exactly* why showing up at park opening will give you the best possible experience!

@@M-NL2 I ride the silver bullet that day and HOLY MOTHER OF JESUS, THAT BLEW ME AWAY, (Pro Tip: skip the food at KBF and eat at Asia Buffet. it's a 9 min drive from Knotts. They have a lot of food choices.) I will return to Knotts on Aug 9.
I always do ghost rider first. I think ghost rider opens 30 minutes early.

My opinion don’t hate on me I went on berry tales and it sucked 😂 I even flipped off the camera when I took the picture and I was going to put it down but it had already taken it , I rushed out of the thing when it was over because I didn’t wanna get in trouble 😂

What time does the park open?
10 AM
do you think on a Thursday in the first week of may if I show up early I can do all of the following? I'll have from like 10-5. id like to accomplish 2x ghostrider, 2x Xcelerator (if open) 2x hang time, 1x silver bullet, log flume, rapids ride, coast rider, pony express, jaguar, mine ride, sky tower (if open) & Sierra sidewinder. sorry for such a detailed question but I see they aren't selling fast lane that day. don't know if that means sold out or park typically dead lol

the wait time app is horrible. I went to knotts on wednesday and it said the wait for silver bullet was 0 minutes while it was around 75 minutes
Yeah, the app seems like it is not updated frequently when it comes to ride wait times. I wouldn't rely on it.
Doesn't really surprise me especially as any coaster ride after the park fills is going to have a long wait. I can't wait until the covid rules are lifted and the rides can return to full capacity. You have season pass so you will be able to return to the park again. I plan one tip before the general public will be allowed in.
i do not ilke the ghostrider i was at 7 but now I'm 14
Is there a specific place inside where you can pick up Fast Lane wristbands?
You can get them at Main Info (front of the park) or at Guest Services (near Ghostrider's Station)
How long do the popular rides get to during the peak wait time?
about an hour to an hour and a half. In the mornings, until about noon, everything will basically be a walk on aside from Ghostrider.
I was gonna go on xelerator but the wait was about 2 hours long
Can you print out your season pass tickets at the park
If you have it on your app or a receipt with the QR code/barcode on your phone, then yes, you can get your physical pass at the park.
What kind of camera do you use? It's very smooth.

I bought the fast lane but are the tickets to enter the one that says general specific day admission??
Fast Lane does not include admission. To enter the park, you would need to buy either a specific day ticket or an any-day ticket (I believe the specific day ones are cheaper)
When you make a reservation can you go anytime during the day ?
Yes

i have a quick question. Can we buy tickets in the gate without reservation?
You would need a reservation to get in the park; if you set a reservation online first, then I believe you can purchase a ticket for entry at the gate, but if you show up without a reservation, then you won't be allowed in the park if the day you are there is fully booked on reservations.
When you enter the park do you enter with the ticket barcode or the reservation?
if you have a pass you just show the pass but if you don’t it will take a while to get into the park
I have a 10:30 am reservation. How long do you think I will have to wait for Ghostrider if I get in at that time?
If you go there straight away, probably no more than 15-20 mins. Ghostrider is a popular opening ride (lots of people go there immediately).

From what I know, I don't think Early Entry is available yet, but I can't confirm that (I would contact the park to make sure.)
I have a reservation at 2am! What does that mean! Can I get to the park when it opens?

Arhhhggg. Wanting to go to knotts grand opening day to CA Public on the 21st. Do you think it’ll be insanely crazy or just like another normal day? Idk wether to wait a month to go or go opening day I can’t wait that long! And my reservation would be at 11 and I’m wondering if it’ll be worth it since they probably wouldn’t let me in as early as they did for you if I arrived that early. Ughhhh
It shouldn't be too bad in the morning! (Due to staggered reservation times, and also it's not a Saturday). If you have a reservation between 10 and 11, I would recommend going, but if not, then I would avoid going if it means getting there after noon.

@@bradleycarter5787 I would 100% suggest getting there at 9:30 of you have a reservation for that day; if you have a reservation for anything later than 11:00 AM then I would suggest going a different day.
@@M-NL2 I’m just worried because I saw on the mobile ticket “instructions” that read. “If you have arrived ON TIME OR AFTER your selected time, you will proceed through to the park. If you have arrived BEFORE your selected time, we will ask that you wait at your car until your designated time”. I’m scared !
@@bradleycarter5787 Sorry, I misread your last message; if you have a reservation at 11, then I would show up no earlier than 10:30, maybe 10:45 at the latest. There will likely be a line to get into parking as well as security, which is why showing up a little earlier will help, so by the time you get to the turnstiles, it should be about 11:00.
Can you lower your mask on roller coasters? My glasses always feel super loose when they’re placed over a mask. I don’t want them to fly off on a roller coaster lol.
They won't stop the ride unless you take it completely off; if you pull down just a bit just so nothing flies off, it shouldn't be too big of an issue
can you get into the park earlier than your reservation time?
I'm not sure how strict they are on letting you in the park, but I assume that if you show up 10 to 15 mins before, they will most likely let you in, but I doubt they will let you in like a whole hour beforehand.
Can you still re-enter the park if you go to the knotts marketplace?
Yes! As long as you hold on to your ticket/pass/reservation, then you can exit the park and re-enter at your convenience.
How strict are they with packing snacks, I have 5 kids I’m taking next week and it gets really pricey being there all day. Do you know if they allow packed lunches? And packed snacks?
So bringing any outside food or drinks (aside from water) is technically prohibited, however they have upgraded the security process and they conduct touchless bag checks, which only require you to walk through metal detectors without emptying your pockets or opening your bag. If they detect anything that could potentially be suspicious, then they will check our pockets and your bag, but if not, then you are able to walk inside without them checking your stuff.
So technically, you could bring snacks in without them seeing, but if they did check your bag, then they will throw away any food that they find.

What do you mean "breakdowns" 0.0
Sometimes rides will experience minor glitches in their computer programming, for example a false sensor reading or a restraint not clearing, which results in a full ride shutdown temporarily so a mechanic can come and assess the problem or restart the ride. This is known as a ride breakdown and whenever it happens, the person at the control panel will announce to everyone waiting in line that the ride is experiencing a delay in operations. This is very common and perfectly safe as roller coasters are designed to immediately cease operation when a problem of any kind is detected.

what happens if i do the reservation online and enter with a digital pass. can i do that or will i need a physical pass?
If you set a reservation with a ticket/pass that you bought online, the reservation is then virtually added to your ticket/pass and will be valid on the date you reserved; when they scan your ticket/pass they will also be scanning your reservation at the same time 👍
is the six flags app accurate for wait times?
For the most part, yes. Sometimes they are off a bit or take a while to update.
Do you like Knott's fried chicken?
It's not tooo special but it is better than most fast food fried chicken imo!
Do you think that going on a week day , lets say a wednesday, would be different than going on the weekend? I’m going to Knotts on the 2nd of June at 12 pm because its the earliest I’m able to get there.
Generally, weekends will tend to be more busy towards the later hours of the day. If you go at noon, lines will already be starting to grow, and there will likely be very few walk-ons regardless of the day at that time, especially considering summer crowds are starting to roll in.

@@ILOVEDAHYUN Yes, the park is generally dead empty for the first 2-3 hours of the day; noon is about the time that crowds will start picking up, so though it won't be super packed yet, it won't be empty anymore by that time.

I actually went to pick up my uniform the day after the incident occured and the park was extremely crowded, with all rides being about an hour wait

Nope! Non vaccinated guests do currently have to wear a mask though!

How are the wait times there
On weekdays at peak crowds, abt 30 mins to an hour for major attractions. On weekends at peak crowds, abt 1 hr+

How can I cancel my reservation for knots i have my pass
Unlike Six Flags, I don't think you can cancel them, but you can delete them from the app under "Tickets and Vouchers" and I believe you can also modify them and change them to a different date.
Will there be any fast pass??
Fast lane is currently unavailable, as the park is still not open to the general public yet, but I believe that it will become available once the park opens to everyone. Just a guess tho.
