Will the wood chips be used in the biochar retort system to produce already pulverized biochar?

I have run some experiments using wood chips and it hasn't worked as well as I had hoped. Here is the video showing the results: ua-cam.com/video/anf_jq696lg/v-deo.html

Only other downside to woodchips are SLUGS. But I don't care. I use them heavily because they are so good!

Thankfully we have zero slugs. They are so good indeed and the price can't be beat!

Wow, how you source so much wood chip. We have 60 acres of property that rural and away from town so I am having problems finding sources to dump a lot of woodchips but so far, we found none. We have a small city about 10 minutes from us that offer free woodchips to their residents but we are not part of that residents. They also have limits for how much you can get if not resident which is not very much per year, only couple yards and that's it. So any ideas for woodchips? Thanks.

Hey Mandie! One of the best ways that I have had success is approaching the crews working in your area. Ask to speak to the supervisor and advise them of your location and make it as accessible for them as possible. If it is not out of their way and convenient for them you may have better luck. I made a whole video discussing the various ways to obtain wood chips. ua-cam.com/video/kNbJOk_su90/v-deo.htmlsi=3k9o1YSBsLBVPkDj
Good luck and thanks for asking.

I use it here on the property for chop and drop, livestock feed, compost tea and some medicinal uses. We also offer it for sale on our website. Thanks for watching I appreciate ya. 🙂

We've been rotating big wood chip piles in the front yard for 8 years with chicken manure too. (Don't judge. It keeps the property values down to discourage yuppies. =p)

Dude I love this. Transforming my chicken yard into a compost yard where the lady's do most the work. I've been feeding my low hanging branches from my woods to my goats this winter so they can eat the pine needles and bark then in the spring they will get chipped. My woods look much better, and with chips on the forest floor, it locks in moisture.
One of the drawbacks from living remote offgrid in the mountian is the lack of free woodchips, fortunately when we cut brush along the edges of the road we can bring it home and chip it up.
