I'm convinced that tree limbs and trunks would not dare fall anywhere other than where you command. Darndest thing I've ever seen!

Awesome job! A nice man lift is one of the best ways to remove trees like that!
I absolutely hate the dead fragile ones!!! I don’t think most people know how dangerous they are like that. I’ve seen good sized limbs come down when the face cut was started and the tops come down on equipment pushing them over.
We had one that I rolled some logs into to knock the top off and any loose limbs. I took a short 2,500lb log and rolled it off the tractor forks with a running start, like the backing up and slamming on the brakes. The top half came down and several large limbs, hit it a few more times until it was about a 20’ stump.

A boom lift makes life so much nicer! Got to use one last year and I can't wait to use one again. Renting the things is pricey, and the ones at the rental places aren't usually the self-driving kind that make life so easy, but it's still better than doing it any other way!

The last place I worked for a living had a spider lift except it was on rubber crawler tracks. We used it in The Georgia Aquarium for many various inside operations. It was wonderful. It would drive through a standard door. I think it was electric.

Is there any way to date/age a tree other than counting rings?
