Excellent review, you really did your best despite not having a lot of viewers. Much respect and keep up the great production value! Made me get this pen you did :)

I just bought this pen with a medium nib! I use diamine wild strawberry ink, it is wet, but not too wet! It writes like a dream, holds a ton of ink, is very well made and looks cool to! I love the texturing on the grip! Highly recommend!! And also great pen review!

I love Love LOVE the fact that you write out the quick brown fox sentence. One of my favorites. Also amazing someone younger writes in cursive.

Great review and high quality production work. Too bad the knurling doesn't suit, I happen to love it. I guess the Tactile Turn Gist is out of the question for you.

Great review, thank you for sharing your thoughts on the grip!

Thanks for the review. The pen looks very nice, but I also don't like the knurling on the front grip section of the pen. I also wish that it was not able to spin around.

Am back late Sept’ 2020 - So I have my Prussian Blue now with a medium nib. Hmm. At first I was kinda happy but now I’m not so sure. The ribbed metal grip doesn’t really bother me as much as the fact it is a bit thin for my preference. I prefer larger grip sections. The medium nib isn’t wet enough either. It is ok but i’d prefer more ink. When I first wrote with it using Sailor’s Sailor 15th Anniversary ink, it was very dark as the feed was full after the fill up. Then it lightened up to a nice but still darker Blue. Then by late last night after hours of use, it was so pale, like the feed was not even keeping up and the ink was not flowing. A day later and it’s darkened off a bit and I need to use it now to get this ink through the feed and get rid of any other remnants not cleared by flushing it before use.
SUMMARY - I love Blue so I’ll always keep this pen. The nib is smooth and feels good. The ink flow could be more wet. If I look straight down on the piston, end on view, I can see inside the end there is glue or something so that’s not a pretty sight. It’s like its not set clear and got air bubbles in it maybe. I’ll use it more and feedback later.....

I don't think that's glue, it sounds like it's just excess grease. If you strip the pen you can wipe it off and reassemble.

You should put those disclaimers about not drinking the ink towards the front. I saw your video and was looking for a refreshing beverage but there was none in sight. However, I did have some Diamine Red Dragon nearby.
Let’s just say it taste nothing like Dragons.

I’ve not tried that one... I wonder how it would taste with Vodka.

Now you've got to try Noodler's Baystate Blue with a splash of rum and a slice of lime. It's a top class drink indeed, and you though your mouth was blue after those 100% artificial slushy drinks you had as a kid.

I got a free bottle of Monteverde Iced Cookie ink from Dromgooles when I bought my white & rose gold TWSBI ECO. I picked 3 possibles and that’s the one they sent. It was my #1 pick. WooHooo! Why did I want it? Because it is THE perfect perfect match for my Prussian Blue TWSBI Diamond 580! If you’re looking for a good ink that’s a color match...this could well be your best bet.

A member of The Pen Addict slack made them. I don’t think he’s making them anymore.

Thank you for the on point review. The milling always made me wonder whether this is a good or a bad thing. I do own the regular 580 with a medium nib and could not say a single bad word about it. I use Diamine Eau de Nil in it, a wonderful ink. Still would not drink it. I guess... ;-)

Currently own a cheapo hobby lobby pen (first pen), slightly used, about 4 ink cartridges worth. $5
My second pen wasthe TWSBI Diamond 580 al emerald green. One of the best pens I have tried. 20-30 ml of ink ran so far and plan for alot more. Very light pressure to use, medium nib drops the perfect about of in for a lefty to use, also when you write quick, you get a mist of ink that i happen to love when im signing my name. Recently the cap broke in my pocket and that led to the nib feed section to break as well. Just purchased a new nib. $20 and $65 for the base cost of the pen.
3rd is LAMY SAFARI lime green with a nedium nib. Got the converter and have ran 20-30 ml of ink through it. After a little over 2 years, the cap has a tendancy to pop off in my pocket, leading to ink spots in my work pants. My main go to when writing. At first i didnt like the triangular grip section, now i like the feel. ≈$30
Forth, LAMY SAFARI 2021 tericotta colored. Shortly after getting, dropped on concrete so have not used this fine nibed pen for a little over 4 months. Love the color but hate the painted clip. The paint chips off quickly. Aside from that, this pen has a more plesant feel to it than the lime green pen.
5th, 6th, and 7th are all LAMY SAFARI in Strawberry, 2021 OD Green, and Blue with red clip all as presents for my friends birthdays.
My 8th pen is the TWSBI 580 ALR orussian blue. Love the color and am a fan of the TWSBI brand. $65
9th pen is my first gold nib, the PILOT VANISHING POINT BLACK AND WHITE. Love the concept of the click button pen with the fountain pen aspects to it. I am very excited to try this pen out and see the quality of it. $168
I hope to get a LAMY 2000 next and maybe one day be able to purchase myself a VISCONTI Homosapian one day.

Been waiting for this one! Thx 🙂 I think you need to stick with the 580 AL’s then. Same pen, no knurling 👍🏻 That medium nib did look good. Such a pain being in the UK for some inks and stuff though.
