I also suggest you to get a FireWire 400 CD drive for your slot loading iMacs just in case if some of them are failling in your iMacs
I use one with mine and it works well

I just smashed and chunked most of my vintage macs..... Still have my g3 clamshell and g4 powerbook but im sure they will go to.

At 15:15 how do you know it’s the original hard drive? Is
the serial number of the hard drive matching the serial number on the manufacturer sticker?
