The problem is obvious: Builder base is too grindy, doesn't offer a lot of strategy, and is extremely slow progression wise. But supercell for some reason doesn't want to change this.
Actually, Builder Base does offer a lot of strategy if you play it for some time. It is just most people do not have time for it because they want to get the 6th builder as fast as possible.
I dont know if anyone remembers this, but remember when training your troops in the builder base used to take 1 minute per camp? I swear everyone just forgot about the instant training change that they made to the builder base
I actually really like Builder Base. I think all it needs is the earned loot to be doubled. Both from the star bonus, and the attack/defend loot. Right now, it takes forever to get enough loot to do just one upgrade.
And they should offer double the amount of loot they do in the raid shop. Or they should make it 3/3 like the rest of the stuff and not only available once.
i love builder base, but limited daily rewards and very low loot amounts are SO annoying when ur like 1 mil recourses off and it takes an hour of attacks or 3 builder star potions.
Then having to fail all your attacks so you can lower your trophies to stop getting those 1 - 2 star bases. Mmmm I love 7k - 15k payouts when I got shit that costs over a million to upgrade. Even the 3 star payouts aren’t even remotely worth it for high level players it’s a joke.. the payouts barely change as you level up in trophies and base. It’s so hard to play BH when you know the amount of games you’ll have to 3 star just to afford that upgrade.
Its too please people who have already have maxed out builders bases. They'd feel cheated by the game since more and more people would reach maxed out status without having too go trough the struggles they went through. And those people are usually the hardcore fanbase of the game. A lot of MMO's struggle with this. What you usually see is that developers release a middle tier of more efficient grinding, rather than a top tier. Its a compromise between the top tier players and the lower tier players. But well, in the case of builder bases, the grinding rewards stay relatively the same throughout the whole grind itself. So increasing the rewards would affect all players
@@kloothommel6569 What about the main town hall?? Players today aren’t going through the same struggles as many of the older players. Used to take up to a year or more to get to around th8. Now can get to max th 8 in about 2 - 3 months. Building times are also cut so much shorter. There’s plenty of things they have changed and made far easier compared to a few year ago.
I hate the matchmaking in the builder base, unlike in the main base you can't choose who you attack so you're usually forced to attack a builder base 1 or 2 levels above you which feels unfair. Also you rely a lot more on each individual troop which means that if the AI of the troop misbehaves it completely screws your attack over
The troops ai really be terrible, sometimes the troops will take the long way around to a cannon instead of breaking the wall in front of them, other times it will target the wall instead of going into a clear opening
A tip is to surrender tell you find a base you can 3 star, Though sense your able to do this it makes everything more annoying not given the chance to switch bases to attack like normal.

I really hate the part that when they decided to split the walls. They didn't changed the cost. As in 1 single piece of wall requires same amount of resources as 5 pieces. And also the time required to upgrade after certain point(7d+) is ridiculous considering that this mini game was supposed to be fun

The elixir seems to pile up faster than gold while there is still half of base lwft to upgrade and no use of elixir, as of builder base 5. It feels so grindy to upgrade wall and go max. They need to make the walls be upgradeable by elixir like in home village and everything will be good.
from wall level 7 you can upgrade with elixir just like the home village, i’m trying to max level 6 walls so for level 7 and onwards i’ll only use easier elixir instead of the precious gold
loot is still very much an issue in the builder base. while adding loot depending on how many stars you get from attacking, and how many stars the opponents get from attacking you is a nice addition, it really isn't enough, and it's because after a certain BH level, a large majority of buildings cost a full worth of your storages, which is in the millions, compared to the tens of thousands of loot you can get normally from attacks, and hundreds of thousands of loot from daily star bonuses
I believe the BB 2.0 is a test for future home village updates. Home village is soon going to need to expand in other ways than just town halls because supercell is nearing the max town hall or else the game becomes too complex. It's not fair to say the BB doesn't fit in when there's people who like it and it doesn't hurt the game in any way, it's simply just an addition. But that's my opinion.
By having to press down the unit icon to make it deal more damage is bad design because it causes sometimes accidentally activating the abilities, unless you're on a some enormous tablet screen
One thing that heavily improved with builderbase 2.0 is the meta game around higher townhalls. Before 2.0 I managed to push up 5000 trophys and almost max out TH 9. At that level the main goal was trying to reach the TH so you can get a 2 star with hopefully more % than your opponent since getting a 3 star was almost impossible due to the clumped up bases. Only mass hoggliders were able to get a 3star which removed the strategical aspect of the troop choice. With 2.0 it is much more doable to get a 6 star with a variety of troops and it is much more fun to strategise again, thanks to the smaller villages.
I think the builder base gameplay is actually really fun, I just unlocked the canon cart yesterday and I think it is by far the most interesting troop in the game, and the second tier is a pretty fun way to spice up raids, the main problem is that it is mind numbingly grindy. The upgrades take even longer and they're even more expensive, but you only have a single builder and I earn literally ten times less loot then I do on a good home village raid, there has never been a single time where I've seriously needed the star bonus at the home village, but it feels like that's my only source of loot in the builder base. Upgrading the builder base simply isn't fun, any excitement you get from the new features is completely drowned out by the unbelievable amount of time it takes to get them
I have the same problem I managed to reach 2.9k but dropped a bunch of trophies because I had to pretty much 6 star every single base I got to only keep my trophies
You just gotta rush. The builder base favors rushing extremely hard. Only upgrade night witches, leave defenses at low levels, dont touch walls and you get high trophies quickly
Doesn’t help that night witch spam is next to impossible to counter. (If you use the landmine in the corner strategies, that can easily be overpowered by placing any other troop before that point). it makes it hard to climb higher without remaining stagnant
My personal issue with the builder base is that being good at attacking punishes you. I'm currently a builder hall 3, at 1500 builder trophies. I get paired with Builder hall SEVENs. I simply cant attack them. Theres literally nothing I can do.
Same like me. I am at 2200 builder trophies with builder hall level 6 and I get matchmaking with builder hall level 10 nearly max players. There is nothing we can do.
Builder Base is missing something important in its gamemode, clan-to-clan battles. If Builder Base has one which has a completely different experience from any clan-related battles (Clan Wars, CWL, Raid Weekend) and does reward stuff which can help not only Home Village but also Builder Base itself as well, Builder Base will finally feel belong to the game.
I HATE... H - A - T - E builder base. The reason why is because I feel forced to do a painfully long and tedious grind for the 6th builder. It took me half a year, and I hated every second of it. Only 2 builders for +5d upgrades. The upgrades are expensive and you get little resources so you have to grind. The 6th builder is locked at a very high town hall making the entire process not just boring, but frustrating as well. Builder base is a good idea on paper, but they ruined it by making the gameplay artificially slow and tiring to get the rewards you want. Thinking I have to do the same again in my alt makes me sick, but the 6th builder worth it.
I love it cuz i can attack whenever i want, instead of waiting for the armies to cook up, especially because i always forget to cook up one spell or buy cc troops or my heroes are down and i go into battle without them, in BB i can just cook up my troops and go out and even better, i can swap troops if i need to
If they did cut off some update and price times, and of course add some more conection to the home village (other than, 6th builder and gear ups) will be a good start.
the main problem w/ the builder base is that it is very expensive to upgrade things for example in the normal village the upgrade of the storages cost a reasonable amount of loot but in the builder base upgrade from level 2 to 3 costs 200,000 elixir/gold
I stopped playing around the time this update was still coming out. I came back a few months later just to see what it was but I only stuck around for like 5 mins. From my perspective this is still a new feature that I don’t know much about but the start of the video truly reminds me how much times flies. It’s been 7 years since the release of that update, which is crazy to me😳
I remember the 6th builder grind really wasn’t that bad, took a few months, and I didn’t stop playing cus I had a max cannon cart from the grind, a troop I really liked anyway, so I kept playing the builder base after, and now I still play the builder base after the update. It’s pretty good. I’ll play if my main troops are training. Nothing wrong with more clash to play
I hate the BB 2.0 update, because they reworked the cannon carts and it was the only troop I maxed, everything else is lvl 12-14/lower. My whole attack strategy has become unusable.
Half the upgrade times across the board, add 2 builder hall levels with more buildings, add actual matchmaking and a new incentive similar to the 6th builder but that doesn't encourage rushing and you have a great second base
I really like the builder base, I just think there should be more variation in the offensive units. As it sits right now, there are really only 3 types of troops. You have primary damage dealers like pekkas and dragons, which are meant to take out large sections of the base. You also have sniping troops like archers and minions, which are meant to take out individual targets in the base. Finally, you have support troops like giants or wall breakers to help you brute force into a base. If you simply understand what units beat what defenses, and you have enough units to fill the roles, you'll have no issues beating any base. Every strategy now boils down to using a sniping troop (typically cannon carts) to destroy a lot of the base, and then using a damage dealer to clean up the rest. Maybe you throw in a support troop to take out something deeper in the base before or while you push into it. There just isn't a lot of creativity in how you approach attacks now. They need to rework a few troops to help diversify the roster. Archers and minions, for example, feel way too similar. I don't like that they fill the exact same role slightly differently. I also don't like that both tend to be outclassed by cannon carts due to the importance of keeping your troops alive, or that they lose their abilities and the cannon carts don't after using them.
Totally not me using Beta Minions spam and 1 or 2 Skeleton Ballons as Tanks while the Helicopter/Machine works as a bonus to tank, clean, take out something or whatever it will do better for each base xd 🤡. Works pretty well.
9:50 I personally like the star bonus being so massive instead of increasing loot from each battle. It’s enough where resources are rarely the bottleneck anymore if I’m getting 1mil from the raid metal bonuses each week.
i used to really like the builder base, fun farming, unique troops, challenging strategies. but now i'm at BH6 where i spam witches at lower trophy levels so my defense can actually make elixir. it's too hard to get enough resources for anything. I recently just decided to rush untill BH9 to get the 6th builder, it'll be hard and a long grind but it'll be easier than actually playing the builder base
Builderbase matchmaking is trash. It's either your base gets attacked by top player with 8000+ pb or bot who spams all super pekka and your defenses go retarded.
the original builder base was the only reason i played COC back then i could sit for hours just attacking bases, i like smaller attacks more than gigantic attacks with hundreds of troops the only thing i wanted was something akin to a spell but on a much smaller scale,outside of that old BB was perfect for me
I'm looking at builder base a different way. I don't mind playing it too much, but if people get to BH10, then thats max gem mine, bob hut, and you can use what resources you passively generate to make capital gold if you have a spare builder. Edit: I guess you can do it from BH9 too but BH10 is more efficient, particularly for the capitol gold. That will add up.
I just go into builder base attacks. Spam my pekka army and close the game and reopen it. There I have it, instantly 3 stars in 10-15 seconds. I do that 4 times at most and easily get to the 10 star requirement for loot bonus in just 40-60 secs of my time. This works really great for completing clan games as well. I usually do it in around 20-30 minutes.
i think they should transfer the gem mine and the clock tower to the main base and remove the builder base, and compensate us with a bunch of gems for it.
Collectors are underrated, if you don't like the builder base you don't need to attack, plenty possible to max slowly with just collectors, I hit max bh9 and I'm fairly deep into bh10 for only using collectors (lvl10 collectors get you 300k a day)

Builder base 1.0 was th10 in 2014 where it’s impossible to 3 star on top of not being able to attack because someone is placing 1 sneaky archer at a time and builder base 2.0 is just not fun to attack with the 6 star system and 2 bases

I personally like builder base more than the home village because you cannot attack back to back in the home village. You need to wait for the troops, spells, heroes and clan castle troops but attacking back to back in the builder base is very much possible and fun to grind
Baby dragon and PEKKA are really good, but I wouldn't call other troops useless. Cannon cart is tricky to use, but very useful once you know how to use it. Giant become really better after the spacial ability. Night witch is my personal favourite and very fun to use.And bommer is a very important against base with high level walls. Baby dragon and PEKKA is really good for rushers and maxers, but depends on the base design they sometimes don't perform very well.

I wouldn't hate the Builder Base so much if the loot wasn't so minuscule. It makes upgrading the base such an unfun grind and I refuse to touch it after rushing my base to get the 6th builder.
What annoys me is that i had to grind a couple buildings that still suck regardless and other cruddy tasks to get the 6th builder just for them to change it later for it to be easier…

Builder base is a great source of gems, especially with clock tower boost. I get extra 6 gems per day from the gem mine and even more from the various roots that pop up randomly.
Personally i always hated how builder base had major balancing issues which is probably another reason why people dont place Builder base other than 6th, gems, and clan games. Mega tesla, crusher destroying my tanks. Giant cannon and lava launcher destroying my range and guard post troops distracting my battle machine and luring it across the base into a crusher
Builder's base 2.0 is the worst update ever. What was better before : - original gameplay, need to perfom better than your opponent - adds suspens, did he do better than I did ? - Make you care about your defense : you can get a win from a good village - More viable troops - unique village setup thanks to unique blocks of 5 walls (btw total cost is 5 times more expensive now) - different strategy : could look for 2 star better % or aim for 3 stars. Once again depending on your village setup. What is better now : - re-activable hero ability - can farm ressources all day long But both good points could have simply been added to the old version And regarding the matchmaking, I've never been above 5k trophies, but I never had any issue. I guess it was only for the top players...

Builder base is pain in the arse, you are limited to certain amount of loots every day (even with 2.0 update), you needs literal days to gather some loot to upgrade 1 level of battle machine, not to mention that the upgrade time is also takes literal days.
I really liked both iterations of the builder's base. It's been almost a year since the 2.0 update, and I'm almost done finishing all the walls to max it out. I hope they add new bases or something to keep me playing because I stopped playing the original mode for a while after maxing it out. I only played it for the loot whenever I had free builders for the clan capital currency or to finish quickly clan games
I personally like Builder Base 2.0, it brings a different and more active kind of attack style to the normal player base and provides a low-stakes experience where I don't really need to constantly play to keep my rank. 2.0 was a massive improvement, but the low loot output is frustrating sometimes
I always liked builder base, but with the 2.0 rework I like it more, although there are some refinement needed to do. First, at least in the lower leagues I would like an increase of Gold and elixir obtainable (not the bonus, just the attacks itself, getting raised by 20 to 30%) and also a bigger diversity to legitimate options to use in the attacks, alongside mass pekka, cannon cart, baby dragon and potentially Night witch. It would be cool to see a boxer giant buff of 10% health and/or 1 more second of the ability
The new builder battle system is mostly the same as versus battles. The only difference is you can start a new one without waiting for the last one to finish.
I am probably the only person that adores the Builder Base 😅. I was always a person that favored fast-paced games than slower progression ones, due to personal preferences (which explains why throughout the years I have always prefered Clash Royale), and I think the Builder Base offers that side that the Main Base is missing (and that it NEVER should lose). Think of it as attracting two different sides of groups of people so that you encompass everyone inside this game.
thank god for the update i started playing coc last year in jan and i was grinding out for the sixth builder and thank god i got it just 2 days ago after one year, the builder base 2.0 made things alor easier
They need to add a system that allows you to exchange builder gold and elixir to the home base somehow. Almost like bringing gear over from one island to another
I wished the builder base would stick to its core of being a mini clash of clans version. Every building's quantity should be 1. They would need to rework the current troops but it's definitely a more interesting approach. Also yeah the grind is real in the current builder base version.
I think the loot from Battle Base should be convertible into things, such as things that would benefit Town Hall or the player themselves for player to play while everything else is in the background

Having a resource bottleneck seemed like it was actually pretty important to the builder base. 2.0 lets you just cheese resources by spam resetting your game on attacks to farm max resources in less than an hour, there’s no skill to it and no incentive to actually win your battles
They need to have war with builder so if it's 10v10 say 30 starts an each person gets to push through the base which is everyone's builders base starting from lowest to highest as last defence
Night witch spam makes it so it’s not even fun. There’s very little you can do against them. For reference, I just want the achievement for the builder base and the 6th builder, then I’ll only ever use it for clan games.
Attacks and defenses such in the builder base simply by how meaningless a single attack is. You get barely any loot so you have to attack 30+ times just for one upgrade. 2 bases to attack just makes the attacks even longer. Its a huge grind and it isnt fun to attack as many times as you can fit into your day
Increase loot for builder base attacks and increase synergy with home base. Builder base can be fun they fixed the game play now they just need to actually make it worth playing.
Here's the thing, nobody players clash of clans *for* the builder base, so in order to get players to use it, Supercell needs to make _really_ good incentives for players to keep playing it
You cant really say the troops that arent the pekka or baby dragon are bad because each troop is meant to serve a different purpose, it just depends on the type of base youre going after

yea agree - previosly the spam negated the bad unit behaviour - now its a terrible

Plus I actually enjoyed having to build with the walls in rows of five. Part of what made the builder base unique

I think the builder base gameplay is actually really fun, I just unlocked the canon cart yesterday and I think it is by far the most interesting troop in the game, and the second tier is a pretty fun way to spice up raids, the main problem is that it is mind numbingly grindy. The upgrades take even longer and they're even more expensive, but you only have a single builder and I earn literally ten times less loot then I do on a good home village raid, there has never been a single time where I've seriously needed the star bonus at the home village, but it feels like that's my only source of loot in the builder base. Upgrading the builder base simply isn't fun, any excitement you get from the new features is completely drowned out by the unbelievable amount of time it takes to get them

I have the same problem I managed to reach 2.9k but dropped a bunch of trophies because I had to pretty much 6 star every single base I got to only keep my trophies
It's impossible to reach 3k before BH9. Literally at 2.7k trophies I had to 6 star everyone just to stay at same place
You just gotta rush. The builder base favors rushing extremely hard. Only upgrade night witches, leave defenses at low levels, dont touch walls and you get high trophies quickly
Doesn’t help that night witch spam is next to impossible to counter. (If you use the landmine in the corner strategies, that can easily be overpowered by placing any other troop before that point). it makes it hard to climb higher without remaining stagnant

My personal issue with the builder base is that being good at attacking punishes you. I'm currently a builder hall 3, at 1500 builder trophies. I get paired with Builder hall SEVENs. I simply cant attack them. Theres literally nothing I can do.
Same like me. I am at 2200 builder trophies with builder hall level 6 and I get matchmaking with builder hall level 10 nearly max players. There is nothing we can do.
Rapid capitulation to drop trophies is all you can do.
I'm a BH5 player and I once got paired with a BH10 player. Too underleveled to destroy the base.
Builder Base is missing something important in its gamemode, clan-to-clan battles. If Builder Base has one which has a completely different experience from any clan-related battles (Clan Wars, CWL, Raid Weekend) and does reward stuff which can help not only Home Village but also Builder Base itself as well, Builder Base will finally feel belong to the game.
I HATE... H - A - T - E builder base.
The reason why is because I feel forced to do a painfully long and tedious grind for the 6th builder.
It took me half a year, and I hated every second of it.
Only 2 builders for +5d upgrades. The upgrades are expensive and you get little resources so you have to grind. The 6th builder is locked at a very high town hall making the entire process not just boring, but frustrating as well.
Builder base is a good idea on paper, but they ruined it by making the gameplay artificially slow and tiring to get the rewards you want.
Thinking I have to do the same again in my alt makes me sick, but the 6th builder worth it.
I love it cuz i can attack whenever i want, instead of waiting for the armies to cook up, especially because i always forget to cook up one spell or buy cc troops or my heroes are down and i go into battle without them, in BB i can just cook up my troops and go out and even better, i can swap troops if i need to
I don’t understand why so many people want the builder base to be removed entirely. If you don’t like it, just don’t play it.
If they did cut off some update and price times, and of course add some more conection to the home village (other than, 6th builder and gear ups) will be a good start.

the main problem w/ the builder base is that it is very expensive to upgrade things for example in the normal village the upgrade of the storages cost a reasonable amount of loot but in the builder base upgrade from level 2 to 3 costs 200,000 elixir/gold

I stopped playing around the time this update was still coming out. I came back a few months later just to see what it was but I only stuck around for like 5 mins. From my perspective this is still a new feature that I don’t know much about but the start of the video truly reminds me how much times flies. It’s been 7 years since the release of that update, which is crazy to me😳
The reduction in troop's quantity was the worst decision Supercell ever made. That ruined so many great strategies and reduced flexibility too much!
I remember the 6th builder grind really wasn’t that bad, took a few months, and I didn’t stop playing cus I had a max cannon cart from the grind, a troop I really liked anyway, so I kept playing the builder base after, and now I still play the builder base after the update. It’s pretty good. I’ll play if my main troops are training. Nothing wrong with more clash to play
I hate the BB 2.0 update, because they reworked the cannon carts and it was the only troop I maxed, everything else is lvl 12-14/lower. My whole attack strategy has become unusable.
Yeah this really threw me for a loop. Mortar mode? What a joke. I've switched to balloons and witches which luckily I had also close to maxed.
Half the upgrade times across the board, add 2 builder hall levels with more buildings, add actual matchmaking and a new incentive similar to the 6th builder but that doesn't encourage rushing and you have a great second base

I really like the builder base, I just think there should be more variation in the offensive units. As it sits right now, there are really only 3 types of troops. You have primary damage dealers like pekkas and dragons, which are meant to take out large sections of the base. You also have sniping troops like archers and minions, which are meant to take out individual targets in the base. Finally, you have support troops like giants or wall breakers to help you brute force into a base. If you simply understand what units beat what defenses, and you have enough units to fill the roles, you'll have no issues beating any base. Every strategy now boils down to using a sniping troop (typically cannon carts) to destroy a lot of the base, and then using a damage dealer to clean up the rest. Maybe you throw in a support troop to take out something deeper in the base before or while you push into it. There just isn't a lot of creativity in how you approach attacks now. They need to rework a few troops to help diversify the roster. Archers and minions, for example, feel way too similar. I don't like that they fill the exact same role slightly differently. I also don't like that both tend to be outclassed by cannon carts due to the importance of keeping your troops alive, or that they lose their abilities and the cannon carts don't after using them.
Totally not me using Beta Minions spam and 1 or 2 Skeleton Ballons as Tanks while the Helicopter/Machine works as a bonus to tank, clean, take out something or whatever it will do better for each base xd 🤡.

9:50 I personally like the star bonus being so massive instead of increasing loot from each battle. It’s enough where resources are rarely the bottleneck anymore if I’m getting 1mil from the raid metal bonuses each week.
i used to really like the builder base, fun farming, unique troops, challenging strategies. but now i'm at BH6 where i spam witches at lower trophy levels so my defense can actually make elixir. it's too hard to get enough resources for anything. I recently just decided to rush untill BH9 to get the 6th builder, it'll be hard and a long grind but it'll be easier than actually playing the builder base

I'm looking at builder base a different way. I don't mind playing it too much, but if people get to BH10, then thats max gem mine, bob hut, and you can use what resources you passively generate to make capital gold if you have a spare builder.
Edit: I guess you can do it from BH9 too but BH10 is more efficient, particularly for the capitol gold. That will add up.
I just go into builder base attacks. Spam my pekka army and close the game and reopen it. There I have it, instantly 3 stars in 10-15 seconds. I do that 4 times at most and easily get to the 10 star requirement for loot bonus in just 40-60 secs of my time. This works really great for completing clan games as well. I usually do it in around 20-30 minutes.
I want the joint walls feature added back. I hate how now the walls are the exact same as home village now.

Collectors are underrated, if you don't like the builder base you don't need to attack, plenty possible to max slowly with just collectors, I hit max bh9 and I'm fairly deep into bh10 for only using collectors (lvl10 collectors get you 300k a day)

No, in early days troops used to take time to train in the builder base. It was extremely frustrating, and most of the people left it because of that.
Builder base 1.0 was th10 in 2014 where it’s impossible to 3 star on top of not being able to attack because someone is placing 1 sneaky archer at a time and builder base 2.0 is just not fun to attack with the 6 star system and 2 bases

I personally like builder base more than the home village because you cannot attack back to back in the home village. You need to wait for the troops, spells, heroes and clan castle troops but attacking back to back in the builder base is very much possible and fun to grind
Baby dragon and PEKKA are really good, but I wouldn't call other troops useless. Cannon cart is tricky to use, but very useful once you know how to use it. Giant become really better after the spacial ability. Night witch is my personal favourite and very fun to use.And bommer is a very important against base with high level walls. Baby dragon and PEKKA is really good for rushers and maxers, but depends on the base design they sometimes don't perform very well.

I wouldn't hate the Builder Base so much if the loot wasn't so minuscule. It makes upgrading the base such an unfun grind and I refuse to touch it after rushing my base to get the 6th builder.
What annoys me is that i had to grind a couple buildings that still suck regardless and other cruddy tasks to get the 6th builder just for them to change it later for it to be easier…

Builder base is a great source of gems, especially with clock tower boost. I get extra 6 gems per day from the gem mine and even more from the various roots that pop up randomly.
I think they should close the builder base... And give us those two builders
Personally i always hated how builder base had major balancing issues which is probably another reason why people dont place Builder base other than 6th, gems, and clan games. Mega tesla, crusher destroying my tanks. Giant cannon and lava launcher destroying my range and guard post troops distracting my battle machine and luring it across the base into a crusher

Builder's base 2.0 is the worst update ever. What was better before :
- original gameplay, need to perfom better than your opponent
- adds suspens, did he do better than I did ?
- Make you care about your defense : you can get a win from a good village
- More viable troops
- unique village setup thanks to unique blocks of 5 walls (btw total cost is 5 times more expensive now)
- different strategy : could look for 2 star better % or aim for 3 stars. Once again depending on your village setup.
What is better now :
- re-activable hero ability
- can farm ressources all day long
But both good points could have simply been added to the old version
And regarding the matchmaking, I've never been above 5k trophies, but I never had any issue. I guess it was only for the top players...

Builder base is pain in the arse, you are limited to certain amount of loots every day (even with 2.0 update), you needs literal days to gather some loot to upgrade 1 level of battle machine, not to mention that the upgrade time is also takes literal days.
I really liked both iterations of the builder's base. It's been almost a year since the 2.0 update, and I'm almost done finishing all the walls to max it out. I hope they add new bases or something to keep me playing because I stopped playing the original mode for a while after maxing it out. I only played it for the loot whenever I had free builders for the clan capital currency or to finish quickly clan games

I personally like Builder Base 2.0, it brings a different and more active kind of attack style to the normal player base and provides a low-stakes experience where I don't really need to constantly play to keep my rank. 2.0 was a massive improvement, but the low loot output is frustrating sometimes
I always liked builder base, but with the 2.0 rework I like it more, although there are some refinement needed to do. First, at least in the lower leagues I would like an increase of Gold and elixir obtainable (not the bonus, just the attacks itself, getting raised by 20 to 30%) and also a bigger diversity to legitimate options to use in the attacks, alongside mass pekka, cannon cart, baby dragon and potentially Night witch. It would be cool to see a boxer giant buff of 10% health and/or 1 more second of the ability
The new builder battle system is mostly the same as versus battles. The only difference is you can start a new one without waiting for the last one to finish.

I am probably the only person that adores the Builder Base 😅. I was always a person that favored fast-paced games than slower progression ones, due to personal preferences (which explains why throughout the years I have always prefered Clash Royale), and I think the Builder Base offers that side that the Main Base is missing (and that it NEVER should lose).
Think of it as attracting two different sides of groups of people so that you encompass everyone inside this game.

They need to add a system that allows you to exchange builder gold and elixir to the home base somehow. Almost like bringing gear over from one island to another
I wished the builder base would stick to its core of being a mini clash of clans version. Every building's quantity should be 1. They would need to rework the current troops but it's definitely a more interesting approach. Also yeah the grind is real in the current builder base version.

Its just the resource part for me, you dont get a lot of gold by attacking and things are expensive to upgrade or build so that needs to change
I think the loot from Battle Base should be convertible into things, such as things that would benefit Town Hall or the player themselves for player to play while everything else is in the background

Because it takes like 20 battles to get enough loot for 1 upgrade, I make my goal pushing trophies which becomes IMPOSSIBLE when you are against a trophy dropping max th but YOU
get 6 starred EVERY SINGLE TIME and Ben though I nearly 6 star every time, once you get high enough it is literally impossible to gain more than you lose
Having a resource bottleneck seemed like it was actually pretty important to the builder base. 2.0 lets you just cheese resources by spam resetting your game on attacks to farm max resources in less than an hour, there’s no skill to it and no incentive to actually win your battles
They need to have war with builder so if it's 10v10 say 30 starts an each person gets to push through the base which is everyone's builders base starting from lowest to highest as last defence
Night witch spam makes it so it’s not even fun. There’s very little you can do against them. For reference, I just want the achievement for the builder base and the 6th builder, then I’ll only ever use it for clan games.

Attacks and defenses such in the builder base simply by how meaningless a single attack is. You get barely any loot so you have to attack 30+ times just for one upgrade. 2 bases to attack just makes the attacks even longer. Its a huge grind and it isnt fun to attack as many times as you can fit into your day
Increase loot for builder base attacks and increase synergy with home base. Builder base can be fun they fixed the game play now they just need to actually make it worth playing.
I'm builder TH9 and I find builder matches faster than multiplayer matches on the regular island.
Here's the thing, nobody players clash of clans *for* the builder base, so in order to get players to use it, Supercell needs to make _really_ good incentives for players to keep playing it
You cant really say the troops that arent the pekka or baby dragon are bad because each troop is meant to serve a different purpose, it just depends on the type of base youre going after
