My mind is continually filled with verses, stories, descriptions from the Bible as corrupt public figures engage in "professing themselves to be wise they became fools". Pride certainly comes before a fall. The Book of Esther, (for anyone who may read this, it is a short book in the OT and the story unfolds in the first 9 or 10 chapters, enjoyable and TRUE), has been brought to mind many times as TDS sufferers let their irrational arrogance persuade them that their criminality will go unpunished. "The pit they dig they will fall into", so many verses from the book of Proverbs apply. It's not cool to be "ever learning but unable to come to the truth".
