Fantastic bunch of ACTORS (capital wanted). I'm Italian and I sort got the intensity of the presence of ALL of them. Strange feeling that I rarely had in watching movies. Also, regardless of the importance of every one in the movie, I felt that every one of them was indispensable and irreplaceable. What WOMEN and what MEN!!! They represented wonderfully THIS world with joy and fear and care and revenge. Thank you very much
It's about the art really less spoiler and stuff ... which is why you'd have Tilda Swinton watching her favourite movie a thousand times and not the least bored each time or turn her head away. I agree also those are her words
I thought the end was a little obvious, which made it, at least for me, really not fitting to the rest of the film. Thats a bit of a shame, otherwise very subtil, slow, intense movie, which i loved a lot. I am not a mother but i gained a whole lot of empathy for my mum while watching.
In Italy there is a proverb that says: "un uomo fra due dame fa la figura del salame" meaning that he is like a salami in the middle of a sandwich, and it means jokingly that he looks like an idiot. I would very willingly be between Dagmara and Jessie. Woopie! I watched and rewatched the movie and I looked for all the other movies with them. And I watched many times The Count of Montecristo Thanks for all.
I don't think Dakota's comment was entirely well received by the cast on stage (21:38) 🙈😬 It can sometimes come across like someone is trying too hard to be witty or funny and it just fails. Peter's comment at 22:04 about Maggie was received much better and helped ease some of the tension.
The very fact that the ending is negative is what made the original work so masterful and truthful. I guess we’ll see how the movie turned out, but I wasn’t all too happy to learn that the ending isn’t true to the novel.
Olivia was amazing (as always) but I do think Maggie's directorial debut film is over hyped just because it is her directorial debut film. The script was too simple and dire. This movie was style over substance.
I hate to say it because I love the subject matter, but I agree....If it didn't have Maggie's name attached to it, it wouldn't be getting any hype at all. But I'm glad Maggie is using her already-established fame to bring us stories about complex, "flawed" women.
Too bad. This is the story for everyone, I think. Everyone who is interested in psychology, in things we do in life that will haunt us later. It’s about meeting the middle age with what we have done in life. And it does prompt that taboo debate whether the motherhood is natural to women or not? Not everyone is successful at it, maybe more so in academic circles. Nobody is perfect. I also loved that parallel story of the menacing Greek American family from Queens that behaves in such an entitled way. The acting, the soundtrack …it’s👌
@@solobano570 you obviously have not read the novel. Everything you talk about is the credit of the novel … you have said nothing positive about this film adaptation.
The film was absolutely magnificent. Congratulations to the team who brought this masterpiece to form. Incredible
Wonderful.
Masterpiece. Vibrant, deep, disturbing, sharp, I think it has not been given the recognition it deserves.
Great interviews. Incredibly eclectic cast. Great movie. Great adaptation

Dakota is very thoughtful and expressed very well the essence of the film. She’s actually the only one besides Maggie who addressed that.
A movie for us hard working mothers!
Dakota has the most amazing voice ❤️
I wish I was part of the process for this magnificence!!
21:58 best part 😆
I was literally waiting for Peter to talk. 🤣
Great movie! Looking forward! 🎥😊❤️❤️❤️
THIS FILM WILL BE NOMINATED FOR AN OSCAR.
BEST DIRECTOR
BEST SCREENPLAY....
BEST ACTRESS
MY PREDICTIONS FOR THE OSCARS.....JAN 12 2022
Why is the wonderful and Oscar winner, Olivia Colman not sitting front and center!
Because she sits wherever she wants.
You know this is an important movie because they all got to sit in chairs.
Paul Mescal 💖💖💖☘☘☘
low audio
Let’s just all take a nod to Roberta Flack in this film.
SPOILERS!
Dang. The ending is the opposite of the book?

maggie i love you girl but you gotta stop spoiling your film

Bad audio. But the film is great.
The audio is only bad for a few minutes, it improves.

Peter’s is a self-important prick, his first remark was so cringe

I have just read the book and the ending is a tad negative. I hope the film’s ending is positive and shows there was a lesson learnt 🙏
I hope not!

What happens in book ending ?
The ending was very anti climatic so I’m curious what the book ending is.
@@Nazaba09 The book is beautiful. Highly recommend.

It wasn't even that stylish.

Been trying to watch this movie for 3 days. It is so boring. I'm a little over halfway through it.
I guess its not a movie for men in generell.
I agree - very tedious movie-
Same here. It is a fricking boring and pretentious film. The novel was good but the film's script is dire.
