  • There is this turn of the century Parlor car at the Cripple Creek and Victor Train Depot. There was at one time a couple of Standard Gauge lines leading to Cripple Creek, either the Midland Terminal Rail Way or the Colorado Springs and Cripple Creek district RW. The standard gauge lines are long gone and the track was pulled up and sold for scrap. This Parlor car is from the era of the Standard Gauge lines. approximately 1898 to 1920.
We took a ride on the Narrow Gauge tour train, it was well worth it, basically $17 each. The Train Engineer was very nice and very knowledgeable, if you ride the train be sure to give the Engineer a nice tip it looks like a hot and dirty job. They have a nice gift shop at the depot and a cool museum next to it covering the local mining industry and the towns history. Well worth a visit.
