One thing I learned was to quickly interact with others as soon as you enter any social situation. Idling around in silence makes it harder to speak up especially when everyone is already comfortable with one another and you're a bundle of nerves.
That is very true, silence is social anxiety And If you always break the ice you'll build up confidence with time and be more charismatic wherever you go.
