    Thanks, man. I have an older Rinnai. I was just quoted 500$ to get that done by a plumbing company. This video is helping me get the confidence to maybe... maybe, tackle it myself.

      Thanks for watching. This video was my first time doing it. As long as you take your time it’s easy to do. All you need is a pump and vinegar and you are good to go. $500 is outrageous for that job.

      Thanks for watching! The tools you need to use are; transfer pump (the one I used was 115v pump off Amazon), a large and small wrench, two washer hoses, philips screwdriver, bucket, compressed air, garden hose and 4 gallons of food grade vinegar. I think that’s everything I used to get the job done.

    Good video. Why didn’t you use a socket on the shut off? I prevent potential rounding of it with the lock wrench? Also do need to cycle the tankless once drained?

      Thanks for watching! Once the flush procedure is done you just turn it back on. No need to cycle.
