The fact that you knew to learn the pay periods and fuel early 💯💯 and reefer isn't that bad they are load but you get used to it kinda a sleeping with the fan on and it puts you to sleep 🤣 oan great video really considering LP you have a good perspective on things 👌🏾
Never lease purchase from the company you working for. Always lease from outside and bring your own truck to the company. That way if you want to move your truck because it's not working out you can.

I really miss leasing. It was crazy fun on paper logs, then when those went out the window I'd get students to help pick up the slack. Now I'm using my endorsements and getting experience with double until I figure my next move. From this video, I would say you're definitely are on the right track on being a successful lease operator with knowing the cutoff dates and to get paid correctly...you're pretty smart Muff!

don’t mess up and put yourself behind turning trips in on Monday with a burnt clock you want to reset on fri or sat so you can start your week on Sunday or Monday, even if your load don’t make the pay period and you haven’t delivered the load they can split the payment to whereever you made it too on payroll cut off, so let’s say you got a 2000 mile trip and you did 1500 miles on the day of pay end, they can pay you for the 1500 miles because they gone take out fuel tolls and whatever other cost. So the 500 miles go on the next payment,
You can pay $100 a month for DAT load board but you never want to go to Florida it don’t pay nothing coming out you get fucked over only time you make money coming out is watermelon season around March to June

You're on the right track, and have a good hustle. Just one thing, build that business account to 10-15k as quick as you can. Then, stop chasing loads that MUST get turned in before the pay period ends. It's a mental game. And you have to break away from it. Otherwise you'll find yourself turning down unicorn loads that would put you into another just like it. Just so you don't see a negative settlement one week. I understand the pressure felt from having to make high lease payments. I have one too. But you need make rational business decisions. And it's difficult to do when you're worried about a load not hitting your cut off. In the end, it's a wash. Because ALL the money still comes to you. Just not on a day you desire. Making fuel purchases on your personal card? Make sure that receipt gets turned in. So they can calculate your IFTA properly, if they do that for you. Otherwise, you're paying extra.

My boy the 22 year old is an amputee but I am gonna look into how it would be for him to drive truck. Only bad thing for him is they probably piss test and he is a smoker. But for the money he would do right. Congrats on doing something you enjoy. You seem to like it.

I decided to that leap and tell my story, I don’t know if I’m doing good just yet, this is something new for me, time will tell. I’m definitely not private when it comes to my pay especially if it helps someone with their decisions. It’s money in this industry tell your boys not to smoke for a few months lol
If the broker call you to check on the eta ask him/her how much that load cost. Trust me I did it and found out the load pays more but the agent/dispatcher changed the amounts and I quit!
Hey muff as a lease op do they pay for there own repairs ? I see most ppl have a maintenance fee charged in fixed cost is that how all lease ops work ? I was thinking they pay for there repairs and not the company pls help
I had a flat tire that was $800. They repaired it, never came out of my settlement. That’s a good question to ask when trying to find leasing companies
You can pay like $50 a month for accounting services. You'll just send all your receipts there and they'll take care of your taxes at the end of the year. All you have to do is pay your quarterlies. Just take about 15 to 20 percent out of your check every week and split it in half then send each half to federal state. You can do it online. If you do that you won't have to worry about missing quarterly payments.

Hey quick question is it possible for me to gross 7-8k every week? I spoke to the recruiter today and she told exactly what you said in this video and the other video. This company is legit and i told her that you told me about the company. My driver will be ready after Christmas and i might have another driver around February. My goal is to get 4-5 trucks paying myself 500 a week per truck and driver 30% of weekly gross 2k weekly minimum.
I grossed 8k last week but I ran from California to New York. I only gross that twice and that’s from running coast to coast. It’s easy to get 7k but 8k is another story

Your fuel cost is too hight for the miles travel. Get your own fuel card fuel at mom and pops . You will get fuel rebates that way.
