Kelly Willard was one of the first Christian artists that I heard when I first came to the Lord in the 1980s. I remember being blessed by her song "Psalm 139:7-14 (Where Could I Go from Your Spirit)" when I heard it on the radio. Her music encouraged me in my faith and I appreciate all that God has done through her.
Kelly is a little more than a year older than me. I remember as a college kid being touched by Kelly's sincere voice pressing toward an intimate walk with Jesus. Asking God's blessing for Kelly in her health and ministry.

I sang her songs to my infant daughter and as she grew, and she remembers them to this day. God speaks through her music, and I continue to listen to the first several albums. I was in a late 70's-early 80's Christian contemporary cover group, and we did her Faithful Love. The first album, as well as Songs, Hymns, and Spiritual Songs and Garden, mean the most to me personally. I have always hoped that Kelly Willard & Roby Duke would release a full cd recording together. Their voices were perfect chemistry on many songs they sang like "Our Love" and "You Loved Me"
Possibly the most purely beautiful voice in Christian Music history. I still think her album "Psalms, Hymns & Spiritual Songs" was pulled straight from Heaven. I feel as if I am in Heaven in God's presence whenever I listen to it. It is perfect.
I thank GOD for Kelly as she was the first Christian singer that I was introduced to when I first got saved in 1989. Her album Message from a King was filled with songs that were scripture based and as a singer song writer myself it was so vital to my young faith to be able to listen to her songs then read almost word for word about them in scripture. It really helped me resolve to not only read the Word of God but also apply it to my life and to understand when trials came my way I had a GOD who loved me and cared for me. Thank you Kelly for your service to the KING it truly helped this believer in Christ Jesus to walk humbly with her GOD and to live a life worthy of the calling I have received. To GOD be the glory for ever and ever!!!
