I was having trouble because we had days that were 60% humidity outside so I couldn't get it lower than that. So the hach was a struggle at times. I need to do some more research on how to control humidity better next time. I didn't have any trouble with reaching higher humidity 60-75. Lower 45-55 was a little tougher. We had warm rain that contributed to my problems. I hope this helps.
smokeybee thanks for getting back to me but after seeing your vid i bought the same temp/humidity device and found out my brand new incubator which is the same model as yours but name differently is all jack up...the humidity says its around 50 but shows it was around 90 this the water droplets on the top shelf and my temp could never go pass 70 degree fer ..domt even know if my eggs will hatch now
No problem. I think it's a good idea to have multiple ways to double check humidity and temp. Those devices are notoriously wrong. Nice to have a backup.
No problem. I guess some units are problematic. That's too bad. Mine is still working. There are some inaccuracies though. I think it's a good concept. They need to focus on quality. Thanks for your feedback. I hope you get better results.
@@allwingsoutdoors4612 Hi, with the same incubator and second device I have the same problem. I see a big difference between the temperature and humidity of secondary sensors and the temperature and humidity of the built in sensors. The incubator shows temperature 37. 6 and humidity 55% but the second device shows temperature 35.4 and humidity 76%. I don't know which data to believe :( Was the incubator wrong in your case? Thank you in advance
Hi , thank you for the incubator review video. May I ask you how you installed the sensors in the incubator? Did you make an hole in the incubator so that the sensors cables would go out of the device or you used some existing open space to get the cables out? I just bought a similar thermometer and I´m wondering how to install it. Thank you in advance.
The censors came with suction cups. I just ran the wires to the corner and shut the lid. I guess you could drill the corner out for clearance. Make sure you seal the gap if you do.
@@IBkeeping Thank you very much, I did as you suggested and I'm really happy with the result. Another question :do you notice a big difference between the temperature and humidity of secondary sensors and the temperature and humidity of the built in sensors? The incubator shows temperature 37. 6 and humidity 55% but the second device shows temperature 35.4 and humidity 76%. I don't know which data to believe :( thanks again for the help
I did notice a constant conflict between them. I honestly didn't know what to believe so I went with an average between them. I wish I had a better answer for you.
@@IBkeeping Thank you for your help. I managed to have almost the same temperature value calibrating the incubator thermometer according to the external one i bought. Humidity values are the only different ones now and I don´t know how to fix the difference: incubator says 54%, second device 75%. After the issues with the incubator, I only trust data of the external device.
How is that faulty wobbly plug doing?
Good. I would solder in a different one, "industrial strength" if I was concerned.
just a quick question can you get that incubator to 65-75 humidity or does your eggs still hatch around 45-50 humidity?

You could buy a third thermometer and hydrometer for a double check. I know the incubator needed calibrated.
