Every song of theirs was a hit in Australia - when I was younger they had the best pop sound since the Beatles. And it still works! Maybe the whole world danced to Abba when they were young. Thanks, Maddy.

And we still do!Put DQ or 'Gimme*3" or 'Lay all your Love on me"(also one of newcomer's Sabrina's Carpenters big fave)at a party on a watered down hour and the you'll see the dancefloor filled up within seconds. All ages.As a journalist stated lately this band is PanGenerational, all family.

When the utopic vocal blending of Agnetjha's and Frida's non-autotuned perfection match their naturally gorgeous photogenic sight. Here in Europe these two females were the biggest crush for some millions of us for more than a whole decade.Unforgettable, irreplaceable,we still do hold in our minds and hearts their perfumed aura.

I am a first time visitor to your channel and i'm very pleased to see you care and got an interaction with the commentators.I am sometimes dissapointed when i see other reactors getting tons or just a few comments and don't even give a sign.Of course i wouldn't expect them to spend all their lifetime reading them all but at least some response to a couple of them shows some awareness and doesn't make an owner/a channel seem 'faceless".(Just my personal perception) .Nice to meet you girl.!And do know that ABBA's army of fans are particularly solid as a community and respond positively and insistently.

Try some 'drama' classic as a contrast for the next one.Perhaps 'Knowing Me Knowing you".Abba's each single mainly sounded different to its previous and that was an exciting anticipation.Everytime a new Abba record was out it was an event for a massive record buying public.Europe,Australia,South Africa,Latin America,Iceland loved those Scandi charmers.

Beautiful reaction, Maddy, and let me tell you, the tonal pitch of your voice amazed me, the second voice sustain with lower one matching you`ve got, good singing along this timeless classic, back then in 1976.

Maddy, the members of ABBA were also married couples. Agnetha was married to Bjorn while Annifrid was married to Benny. Their later music definitely changed as their personal lives suffered and both couples divorced. Knowing Me and Knowing You was a prime example and sad to record as it reflected on their splits. Thanks for the reviews.

@@MaddyReactions if you want an indication of how bitter the breakup of the couples were, around 2000-2001 the group was offered a billion dollars to regroup and go on a tour (back when $1,000,000,000 was real money), and they turned it down. I can't remember exactly the number of concerts, but each member would have made either $2.5 or $25 million per show.

We just saw an ABBA tribute band over the weekend, and they were touring with the original bassist from the 1970s. He's the fifth person on the "Waterloo" album cover.
They had the look, and very nearly the sound, of the original, but there's still only one ABBA!

    The comment number 100 !!!
Remember that ABBA is the iconic Swedish pop quartet, the best, most versatile and most important of the 70s, in the post BEATLES decade (the revolutionary group of the 60s)
ABBA, as in its time BEATLES, was a musical and cultural phenomenon, and its legacy lives on
remember that ABBA is an acrostic with initials of their first names; initialy They was two couples:
A- Agnetha (blonde lead vocal) &
    B- Björn (guitarist and songwriter)
B- Benny (pianist and songwriter) &
A- Anni Frid (brunette lead vocal)
(both couples separated before the breakup of the group in 1982)
"Dancing Queen" (1976) is a beautiful song, which shines in the loftiness of its vocal harmonies
the blonde singer Agnetha is soprano voice,
the brunette singer Frida is mezzo soprano voice,
and blending together made the famous and fantastic 'third voice of ABBA'
And the music is bright and enveloping, from the initial chord it introduces you into the atmosphere of the disco and invites you to dance
English public has voted it as one of the songs they want to hear the most, because of the feeling of joy and energy it gives them (another is "Don't stop me now" by Queen)
And in 2015 "Dancing Queen" was included in the Hall of Fame of Rock and Roll music
ABBA recording between 1972/1982, have a wonderful series of more than 20 worldwide hits (and also 50 another great songs), included nine #1 in UK:
    Waterloo
    Mamma Mia
    Fernando
    Dancing Queen
    Knowing me knowing you
    The name of the game
    Take a chance on me
    The winner takes it all
    Super trouper
And after more than 35 years ABBA return to studio in 2017 and recording a full new album "Voyage" between 2017/2021 released in November 2021 and is a worldwide succes
ABBA begin to be famous in 1974, when They won the Eurovision Song Contest in UK with their iconic song "Waterloo"
Last April 2024 was their 50th anniversary and Eurovisión gives a tribute to ABBA and Waterloo
Muy suggestion Is to react the live perfomance of ABBA ay Eurovisión in Brighton UK 1974
I hope to see more reactions to ABBA
    GOD bless you
    my best regards from
    Buenos Aires Argentina 🇦🇷
    South America

Benny & Bjorn (the guys of ABBA) co-executive produced Mamma Mia! with Tom Hanks and his wife. Benny (ABBA's pianist) coached Mamma Mia star Amanda Seyfried on singing the tunes (there are videos of this on YT). I grew up in the 1970s listening to ABBA on the radio and have loved them ever since! (I had a few of their albums on cassette back then!)

Nice reaction! I've loved Abba from 1974. They made wonderful music videos with fantastic costumes that were very “of their time” when few other musicians were doing it. Four good-looking, seemingly kindhearted Swedes - what’s not to love?
And no scandals, no addiction, no drama, no one’s secretly a terrible person. Their relationships ran their courses,
yet they remained consummate professionals and friends. I think that’s extraordinarily difficult to pull off,
which to me is quite a testament to their characters. Now, pls, check "Mamma Mia" & "Knowing you knowing me".

@MaddyReactions Thanks, Maddy. It was genuinely meant as a laugh with you comment and not a laugh at you comment. I'd glad you took it in the spirit intended.
Keep up the reactions. Try listening to Chris de burgh. Something like "In a country churchyard" (great wedding song) , Up here in heaven (anti war song with a great fan video) , transmission ends, heart of darkness, the traveller or Shine on ( personal favourites) or maybe a more recent one like "hands of man" or "the keeper of the keys".
Not might be big numbers for your site but might be enjoyable just for you.
Tomorrow I'd recommend a completely different list.
