As a big guy, shopping for clothes is always a challenge. But my challenges clothes shopping are nothing compared to Thor!! Love the video. Cannot wait to see you competing in powerlifting. All the best. Peace.

I am only 6'4" tall and 260lbs and I have to shop big and tall for shirts just so I can get my hands on the Tall fitment shirts (XLT and 2XLT). That T part of the size makes all the difference and adds about 3 or so inches to the length of the shirt. Otherwise I have to get a 3xl like you mentioned in order to get a long enough shirt, but then it's like wearing a parachute.
I feel you pain its horrible sometimes I have bought a shirt and it's like a belly top or jiggers that are way too short. I'm so glad we can get big and tall now as I used to get xxl shirts and bigger jeans on the waist.
I'm 19 and around 6'3/6'4 and i wear large tops. I don't find shopping too hard apart from shore shopping because i wear size 12 shoes.
@ScoobyYTP depends on how you are built. I am long in the torso and relatively short legged for how tall I am (34in inseam). I am also VERY barrel chested, which don't help. I NEED the tall shirts, or everything is a belly shirt.
@@djsubliminalreeve it's honestly annoying. I want to support some youtubers and buy shirts, but there is no point because I can't wear them. Same thing with free shirts from companies or work related stuff. It all ends up being worn by my girl or turned into shop rags.

Dxl is only store i can shop at too. Great store for big guys. Everything is pre shrunken too so no worries when washing. U need the 2XLT not the 2XL fit ya way better.

Thank you very much for this. I'm only 6'2 but have the torso length of someone 6'7, and living in the UK, most shirts look like crop tops on me (trust me, not a good look!). I often really struggle to find shirts that are long enough, without making me look like I lost a fight with a 5-man tent. The only brand I've found so far are called "Big Dude Clothing", and their own-brand shirts are fantastically long. Unfortunately, they're not the most robust quality, and I tend to burn through them fairly quickly. However, I'm off to the US on Saturday and will be hitting up a DXL as soon as I can!
Michael Phelps who is 6'4" also has a torso equivalent of a 6'8" guy and the lower body equivalent of a 6'0" guy. I think a bit similar to your scenario right?

It's one of my favorite stores, for me, being 6'9"and 450lbs myself, they always have something that I like and fits good but jeans are always the hardest!
Tbh the shirt your friend picked had a good fit and didnt look too bad. The combination with the pants and the accessoires was a little silly but a more serious combination could suit you

This is great,, we have a store in Australia called Johnny Big and caters for the same,, BIG AND TALL, and I love it. My wife loves it for me too coz I dont crack the shits when nothing fits IT ALL FITS!!

At almost 6'4", close to 300lbs...I can confirm. The world is a place best experienced by those around 5'9", and average weight. My dear friend Joel, who's the inv supervisor at a hardware retailer, is 6'9". Seems as though it would be novel, to be so tall; but it's a hell for clothing, cars, chairs, and really anything you have to touch, or interact with. No handy "device" (trimmer, broom, handle, doorway, etc.) was ever put here, in mind for your designs. You must adapt always. God bless the tall, the short, and the different in any way. Instead of going up a size to get something long enough, see if they carry clothing with a T-suffix (e.g. 3XLT instead of 3XL). The T stands for Tall, and are longer without being wider.

I live in a small town and need one of those stores. I can sometimes find a 3XL shirt but it's always tight on the upper body and HUGE from the chest down. It seems like most shirt manufacturers think anyone over 6' has a 50" waist.
Which is stupid from the manufacturers. They should cater the Strongman, Powerlifter, Weightlifter, Bodybuilder community better.

i thought iceland would have a lot of larger clothingh stores since theres a lot of tall people there... but america does have that obesity issue so i guess its more common to find big clothes there.

I have the same problem, any tailor can make you a few pair of really good fitting durable 501s or he can order them from Levi.... I have these big old clumsy fingers so you might need bigger buttons too, i don't think the extra large rivets are necessary 5 pair will last you a long long time

I'm 6'5" and over 300 lbs myself, I know this struggle. I normally wear 2x or 3x shirts, extra long if I can get it. I've been living in Carhart heavyweight pocket tee shirts for years now.

I no your pain I'm easy at 6.2 we have a few places to shop but in the 80's, 90's and early 2000's only a few places in New Zealand most in Auckland...shoes were the hardest size 13 was hard had to squeeze into 12's and curl your toes lol...my son was 6.9 at 16yrs old size 18 shoes that changes depending on type of footwear he's 22yrs old now and size 20's depending on the brands long as feet👣 with toes like fingers ✋😂

My son is 7' 350lbs (ex-wife is a big Swede), and he also has the worst time in the world finding stylish or contemporary clothing that fits. Those t-shirts if you got a XXL extra tall it would probably be a great fit on you. Most people don't ever try tall and extra tall shirts, but if you are tall instead of fat, then getting the required length without having a ton of extra material doesn't work. America definitely has the best selection of clothing for tall people than anywhere else.

Hey Thor I totally understand what it means to be big and tall I’m 6 foot five and 485 pounds I wear a five extra large tall shirt and I’m gonna 56/32 pair of pants I just a big ass dude and DXL is the only store I can shop at I have to get my tennis shoes from new balance because I wear a size 16 6Ewide tennis shoes. Otherwise I can’t get dress shoes. I have a pair of work boots, but they don’t fit very good, but I totally understand what you’re going through because I’ve been through it my entire life.
