- Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: "Avoid riba, for it is a grave sin" (Tirmidhi)

- Surah Al-Tawbah, Verse 60: "Zakah expenditures are for the poor and the needy, and those who collect them, and those whose hearts are inclined towards Islam"
- Hadith:
- Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: "Charity is a proof of faith" (Tirmidhi)
- Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: "The believer's shade on the Day of Resurrection will be their charity" (Tirmidhi)
