If you rarely rapid charge, well played James for basically taking Lexus to the cleaners with their warranty, such a smart move. For a lot of drivers in the UK this car would do the job in comfort and for a lot less than other models. I did a similar thing picking up a 2020 Soul 64kWh FE for under £19k delivered with 33k miles on the clock and 3 1/2 years of warranty left on it (not as good as the Lexus, but I guess my occasional rapid charging slightly faster and using CCS may offset that to a degree). Brilliant stuff Jonathan, I’ve really been enjoying these behind the scenes auction vids
As long as the customer is happy it's what matters. Im going with the others as far as CCS goes but this is coming from the guy with a couple of the fastest CCS charging cars out there (including the Mrs) and in the past 3 years we only used CCS once across about 50k miles total... Everyone wants a 600 mile range EV but most dont need it.
Thanks,Tim , you helped my business considerably years ago with delivery's, and we had some great EV road trips together all over the UK , i do miss those days 😀
I am sure that chademo is not a problem if the car has a specific use within its range. Apart from 1 or 2 longish trips a year I only charge at home on octopus go. My MG ZS EV is great but the quality of a Lexus or similar is temting. I always have your service in the back of my mind.
I’m sure the Lexus is a lovely, well built and comfortable car, but with such a small battery it wouldn’t suit my use case. Complete bargain and as useful to me as a chocolate fireguard!

I only found out recently that this has Chademo. Amazing they didnt at least switch to CCS.

@@JonathanPorterfield they were some of the happiest times I've had. Tremendous fun.

That's cheap, I was thinking of replacing our CT200h with one of these. Great video
Thanks for watching, our customer is very very happy 😊
I think the lack of CCS is too big to see past, or round, or over... Maybe it'll sell in Japan.
