80 generic levels with a singular new plant that’s just straight up a direct upgrade to another one, in a game where you can’t choose your plants so power creep literally has no reason to exist. Awesome job Popcap, this game will make 1 zombillion dollars!!!1!!1!!!
Zombillion means dead money
They could have at least done rebalancing, but they did the opposite. Sunflower is worthless now, Bonk Choy got a buff as if it already needed one, peashooter struggles to take down two brown coats, snow pea can barely take down even one brown coat, and let’s not forget that the files had chomper, puffshroom, chili bean, and a few more plants ready to go and we get only 1 new plant in this update.
Edit: You know what, we might as well not even call this an update. It’s a downgrade.

Honestly I miss the alpha version. Sure the game didn’t looked the best or had a good balancing but at least it hade a lot of cool mechanics and unique plants and zombies to make it stand out a bit it’s just needed a rename as well polishing and it could have worked. But instead we have a baby game.

People complained about its art style and being a clash royale clone or something, but I genuinely saw potential with that version. It had unique plants/zombies, unique gimmicks (tacos mid-battle), and looks pretty fun. There was at least some reason to play the alpha version of pvz3 over pvz2 and pvz1

I feel the pain of playing this game for 4 and a half hours straight, and having to timestamp every section is not that necessary, but efforts like that are appreciated nonetheless.

Depression the video game
The sunshroom is such a problem in this game. Like it works because you can't chose your plants, but in the other games, sunshroom has a balance of costing less but less sun at the start. now in this game, there is no reason for you to choose sunflower over sunshroom since it cost 1 sun less, but still gives the same sun and 2x more later.
Also, sunshroom's idle animation is so lazy. Like it could've been at least it bouncing up and down, but now all of them are just moving side to side. At least peashooter's has a fancy swing to it. But the sunshroom with it moving side to side like that, it feels kinda distracting tbh. It almost makes me think why it's bad is because for the first PVZ 3 version, they made the sunflower's animation already so it already looked good, but they had to throw something together since now they had to make it from scratch. I dunno, that's just me tho.
It pretty much outclassed sunflowers in pvz2 anyways.

I think there should be a lot more plants added to the game. Like cactus (hits up to 5 zombies in the lane and balloon zombies [also made up]). Comment down here what new plants you think should be added to the game.

So in the span of 80 new levels; we get one new plant, and one new zombie (technically not new, but whatever). While in the span of 1’s 50 levels; we get 40 plants, and 26 zombies. Let that sink in…
I also just noticed they BUFFED bonk choy?! He was already the best plant in PvZ3, why did he get a buff?!

I do not see a problem with not being able to choose our own seed slots, since it adds to the game by forcing the player to be proficient using every plant in the game, while in pvz2 I usually find myself using the same plants every time anyways. The only problem being, theres only like 8 plants in the entire game.
Digging through the files people found that puffshroom, chomper, chili bean, and more were in the game files. Update comes out and only a single plant was actually added.

@@vgogaming3685 you choose to use the same plants in PvZ2 because you want to. If you wanted it to be more of a challenge, you'd use other plants that you don't normally use. That's no excuse and PvZ3 is a shameful downgrade

This is so infuriating, even after PvZ creators got together to speak to the devs, Popcap still screwed up the exact same way but even worse! One new plant, no new zombies, and no new level gimmicks. I’M SICK OF WAITING!!! Popcap, if somehow in hell you read this, hell, even listen, then get your act together. What happened to the team we knew long ago?

one "new" plant per 80 lvl and one realy new plant in game overal is crazy asf. I always wonder why there was no 3 part of that amazing game, but now i think it will be better just with PvZ1 and PvZ2 exist.

Is it me or are the plants weaker?
Oh they’re weaker here in this game. Sunflowers are the _slowest_ they’ve ever been, taking 26 seconds to produce 1 sun, whilst in pvz 1 they took 24, pvz 2 it’s roughly the same but each sun you collect is worth double. it’s even worse considering how much faster-paced the game is compared to both previous entries.
Peashooters just suck here, along with a nonexistent variety where you can’t pick your own seeds, they take 14 hits to kill a regular zombie, just 10 in earlier games. it might not sound like much, but it means it can barely handle two in a lane, with a side of being oddly expensive for what it’s worth for arbitrary reasons to align with the 100 sun cost, in which case just make it cost 3 sun. This brings us to Snow Peashooter which got hit the worst: the cost has been reduced by 3, yes, but what do they get to compensate for that cheapness? With Peashooter’s pvz 3 stats… half its damage.
This is why it takes forever to kill even one zombie; *28 hits, on a regular browncoat.* that’s almost triple as bad as a pvz 1 Peashooter if you think about it.
I could go on about all the changes they’ve done to them, but this should give you a glimpse of how bad the balancing is on the plants’ side, seriously.

Here is some lore :because crazy dave won that science fair and zomboss did not so zomboss got angry and made a virus to make the undead get back to life and zomboss made a mech and destroy his daughter and i think she survive but got bit so crazy dave made her in to a flower but the zombies step on the flowers so crazy dave was mad and kill's the three zombie's but later on he gets bit while protecting it and he puts a potion on that plant and it grows in multiple plants like chomper peashooter and crazy dave drink's the blue potion to make him immune but make him crazy and he builds penny and drive's off to find a cure but got cared away of finding that hot sauce

UI looks like candy crush. They want to give us 10000 levels like in Candy Crush so that the graphics are low because of the storage. 10000 levels plants vs zombies seem good tho.

The cutscenes in this feel so lazy (which describes the entire game but that's beside the point)
Like, the only animation done in most of these is just "characters walk from point a to point b", and everything else is either relegated to a few panels of a comic strip, a smoke cloud covering everything up, or, even worse, just a black screen with text that says "characters did x thing that we could have animated instead but that would take time and effort and we don't do that here anymore"
Other than that it's just character portraits that, while they do look nice, just cover up the fact that they, again, couldn't be bothered to animate the models lip syncing

EA really thought it was great idea, it looks even worse. Like seriously outside of 1st alpha with those ugly 3D zombie designs. The 2nd version looked much better, but it all went downhill.

Reasons:pvz2 used all concepts
No boss battles
Only two mini games last stand and vase breaker but it's more easy and simple
Here we go again with the sh*tty balancing

i know some find this offensive but this game is dead so repetitive level can't stand watching it how would I even play. pvz1 and 2 were way to better
