Great video. It was a pleasure to meet you on that night. You’re always welcome back if you’d like to film aboard our other locos T251 and Klondyke. This sort of content shows the best of what the Bellarine Railway has to offer for potential visitors and volunteers. :)
Nice video. I also had a Cab ride on the Bellarine earlier in the year on their T class, one of the most enjoyable visits to a heritage railway I've ever had!
I'm a volunteer at the bellarine railway and I can tell you know that the 24 class is one of the loudest locos we have on the line and I can hear it from my place it's that loud but glad you had a good time
I've always wondered why 3620 faces tender first to Queenscliff when the service starts at Drysdale. I'd think from a marketing perspective you'd have it funnel first for the "key" part of the journey.
People take lots photos with the locomotive at Drysdale on the platform and at queenscliff after running round, so having the front facing the train is easier for people to take photos with it as passengers aren’t allowed off the platform to take photos of it. The train also performs a photostop at Suma Park and this section of the line is uphill towards Drysdale. More noise. The passengers don’t seem to care which way the engines facing.
