I read the story, i believe they would still try to fight and defeat the cog visbane, they just need to act soft bc not all of them can defense themselves again that of turing

The chaper ending is like gaia not liking whag corg is doing with the recreation space, so it send it soldiers to delete it
The cast may still try to beat turing but they have to halt that plan bc they slowly aware that gaia is thier enemy too
