I made my first animation in Flipaclip, and that was before they added layers and audio. Now it's so fun to use! I'm animating a story my 4 year old made up on the spot while playing around with my microphone. :)
I have "better" apps, with automatic in-betweens. However, by drawing frame by frame I'm beginning to see where I was making mistakes by relying too much on the technology. It’s better to have fewer positions in a head turn, for example, instead of the slide that always has a glitch in it. So it's a great learning tool. Thanks for the quality tutorials.
Agreed! I'm always confused on how people think that FlipaClip is "trash" and are shocked when people can create quality content with FlipaClip. I understand the fact that it may be for beginners and has limited tools to create the animation, but that's what I believe makes FlipaClip so special! The limited amount of tools force you to rely on imagination and creativity, which is essential in art and animation. I always get confused when I see other animation apps because they're so complexed and arguably hard to understand. I know that, once you get the hang of it, it pretty much becomes you best tool for animation, but if we practice on FliaClip, train our mind to be unique with the limited materials they provide, and store a bit of patience, you'll find out FlipaClip can perform just as well. Terenry RM speaks for her/himself, in that case.
that's just because, technically, flipaclip IS a less professional animation software. That doesn't mean that you cant make good animations on it. It just means that more professional animators wouldn't use a software with such limited options
I say to myself Its pure skill not hard ware or software (Most of the time. If your trying to make art on like windows 2000 or a REALLY ancient intuos that isnt even supported by windows 8 or 10 than it would be software/hardware)
the one problem with flipaclip is that if you wanna remove one layer, lets say you made a second layer and start animating right, and you notice the layer thing you added and you delete it without thinking, you will delete the other frames that you have worked hard on, that happened to me twice, i had to redo 7 frames because of this mistake and i couldnt get it back either. thats the only issue i got with flipaclip so far
@@OpalEssenceOfficial i think so, but since i thought it was like a normal layer and nothing else would get deleted, i just tapped delete, i wish it wasnt like that. also when it got deleted i couldnt undo it, i wish the layers would not be connected this way tbh, it would be easier to use the layers without causing harm to the other layers tbh. this is just my opinion

I don’t mean get out and back in I mean double click home button, swipe out flipaclip and go back in the app. (I have iPad mini so android users don’t get confused)

I mean, search up “Kai” on you tube. Look at their emotions or OMG meme for Pete’s sake. It’s on FlipaClip! And they’re amazing!
I've tried on and off to use it and I must say it's pretty good... but could use a couple of upgrades; first and most important would be keyboard shortcuts for copypasting frames and selected drawings. Second would be something that I'm not *entirly* sure if other animation software does it or not but I can imagine it making both keyframes and storyboarding much easier. I'd call it frame stretching; basically *stretching* a single frame across the timeline, making it stay on screen longer without having to copy-paste the same drawing or frame over and over again. It could happen manually like I *think* I've seen other software do, setting how many 'frames' a single drawing takes up... or automatically by *pausing* at a filled frame for the amount of time it would've taken to show the blank frames after it, only unpausing to show the next frame with a drawing in it and maybe pausing on *that* frame until the next one with a drawing in it. In other words; Frames 1 and 7 have drawings but frames 2-6 are blank and empty. Flipaclip shows all frames now, but with *this* feature, it would just show frame 1 for the time it'd take to show 1-6 and *then* show 7.
Macromedia flash mx 2004 is simple and free and easy and the best of all it’s vector based meaning you can export your animations in an ultra high resolution in the future and you don’t have to use your fat finger meaning nothing looks sloppy

It constantly resets setting on brushes in between frames besides that ita not practical for me because a cellphone is way to small and using a touch screen is to slick and i feel like screwing up ia super easy. I prefer the old hand drawn animation personally

Yeah that's because it's a phone...imo phones were not meant to run animation software. An ipad is even meant for pretty light usage but for purpose built (smaller programs) animation is fine. Unless maybe you have an iPhone X or a gaming phone, but even then a newer iPad or designer's laptop is more suited for the purpose of animation.
