I had a big church event this Wednesday and standing there, listening to all these people who share my faith raising their voices to God made me really emotional yet free at the same time. That night I closed my eyes and just listened and for the first time that I can remember, I could listen without being bombarded by my anxious thoughts. It's completely changed me since then.

I’m a Christian to. I’m trying to make my relationship with God bigger. I’ve started reading devotions and the verse of the day on my phone everyday. Now when I go to church I understand the sermon more than when I was little and sometimes they relate to my life. I’m glad to see other younger people on here talking about it.

I strongly believe a personal relationship with God is MOST important, and I'm glad you listened to the voice of God, despite what your counselors said. Of course, God can still speak to us through leaders and pastors. It's just that one's personal journey in reading the Bible and seeking the Lord is what sets a strong foundation and compass for our lives. I am an athiest, but I read religious texts like the Bible, Q'uran, and the Bagavath Geeta. Even if I don't agree with everything or even if I don't live by it, I can learn a lot from reading these texts. They have so much truth, love and knowledge. just like you, i've always been christian. however, we never went to church and my mom didn't grow up christian, so she didn't know much about the religion. when we moved to a new house 2 years ago, we started going to the church across the street from us. at first, i hated church and i never embraced God. slowly, i got more involved and i started to make more friends, which really helped. now, i go to church almost every single weekend and i volunteer by coaching 2nd graders in small groups for 3 or 4 services, as well. my faith couldn't be stronger right now and while it still needs work, i'm glad i finally started to build my faith and i'm glad i'm now in a position where i go to church by choice, not because i "have" to.

I just started a channel and I was thinking about making Christian videos, but I am afraid of titling them because I don’t want to get hate, BUT this made me realize who cares.
