You remember those times in Dragon Ball where like, spectators to a fight would be unable to see what was going on because of how fast the two fighters were going at it? That's how I felt at times watching this unreal Lucas player.
I want to mention how good the commentary is on this set. As a french speaking person I usually prefer the intensity of french commentators but god, L4st and Arbiter are awesome and really gave this set justice with the high intensity commentary ♥️

Good Lucas spacing requires Melee levels of schmoovement and a zutty amount of patients, it shouldn't be surprising that top Lucas's are pressing 4x as many buttons than simpler characters.

The name of this tech is djcz (double jump cancel zair) and you have to press 2 buttons at the exact same frame. It's so freaking hard. So for me who can't be 100% accurate when i do a short hop it's even harder
And i wouldn't be able to think of baiting someone like this in the middle of a fight.
@@fukopi djcz and snakedash are 2 different thing, although they have the same input basically a snakedash is the faster version where you don't even wait for the hitbox to come out and just use it for the momentum as a movement option

@@empanothing add footstool and those are 2 frame perfect( 1 frame) inputs, djc item toss is much less tight as an example and can also be done at ledge and footstool
That final kill screen threw me off, it almost looked like Lucas did a wavedash before throwing out the fair. I had no idea you could do that with zair, maybe Lucas is better than I thought.

Why do people always think Lucas is a lightweight? He's actually middle and in this matchup he's (94) heavier than wolf (92).
It's because Lucas is floaty and not a heavy it's easy to assume he is made of paper

I absolutely love seeing Lucas do well. I’ve been grinding Lucas for the last two years, was almost considering giving him up, but this showed me just how much better I can get with him.

More than the combo he looks like is doing wavedash with that tool, insane tool.
It’s double jump cancel Zair, essentially shorthop then double jump and zair at the same time while holding a direction. Also great for movement.
Very hard technique. It has to be frame perfect DJCZ (Double Jumo Cancel Zair) Confirms to itself and really good movement spacing tool

@@hidalgopika Nope, it's "djcz" (Double Jump Cancel Zair) or if you prefer "wavezair", a really hard technic to perform (I think 2 frame of margin). That's the same technique that make "Zair -> Zair -> Zair -> Zair" true
