i’m an metalhead and i can agree with everything your saying like i’m even scared to tell my friends i don’t know the difference between death metal and deathcore
I used to not understand the hate, until I got into other styles of music besides metal. Now I understand and in a way agree with some of the hate. Coming from a metal musician btw.
someone told me im a poser cause i wear tripps pants and im a Christian never mind my character and the awesome bands i like which is mostly black and death metal.
I 100% agree allot of these Metalheads or fans of metal music just think they’re “hard” or “better” or more “superior” then everyone else just because of the music they listen to, same with hardcore, and allot of Metalheads are ruining the Rock community by calling every single Rock band “butt rock”, but you look at these fan bases and you don’t find many toxic people like you do in the metal community I like to listen to some Metal music but I hate the Metal community with a passion, the fans ruin it for me I agree it’s just total Cringe
What’s ironic is that the bands that started heavy metal (Van Halen, Scorpions, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Dio) are all now considered “dad rock” and “poser bands” by most metalheads now at days, if it doesn’t have less than 1,000 streams on Spotify, if they don’t sing about rap¡ing mutilated carcasses while a dude squeals and growls incomprehensibly, if it doesn’t have a trash can sounding snare with blast beats, if it doesn’t have a guitar tone that sounds like TV static, then it’s “poser metal “
I used to be a metalhead until I got called the r word and asked to say 10 songs for daring to also be asexual (not by choice). Guys, gatekeeping because YOU think metal is solely ableist and for straight men fans only proves the issue women and the LGBTIQA community have. Instead of saying 'you don't understand it', please listen to the issues.
The problem with the feminist and LGBT is because those guys are also too politically correct and some are radical and at least i dont eant that to pollute metal, but the thing is just not the lgbt or feminists per se just those radicals.
