@@tanmaypatil9105if you think Japan has progressive values, you're horribly misinformed. Every time I have had to send a contract to Japanese clients, I have had to send faxes or hard copies because their leaders are ancient and stuck in the 1980's.
Japanese don't have internal show stoppers and impediments to progress like we do in India. Merit rules in Japan and not religion or caste! The RFI for 104 MMRCA was drafted in 2003, and we just have 36 Rafales after 20 years, and that too after going through dirty politics against the interests of the Indian Air Force.
Listen fool, the japanese indigenous programs are successful because of the Japanese industrial complex and the private engineering corporates. The japanese ministry gives the funds and the pvt sector does RnD along with their own internal funds. In India no pvt company is ready to participate in RnD of indigenous technology because they are whimps who can't take risks and just want to make easy money by being the manufacturing partner of foreign OEMs. Somehow the govt is too idiotic to realize it. So HAL/DRDO has to do it with just the govt funds which is 1/10 of the budget which the japanese and american companies get. Since HAL/DRDO don't have much internal funds the RnD pace is very slow. After that, our corrupt military brass and import lobbies kill the efforts of our RnD, and we fail to develop military-industrial complex.
