It boggles the mind how they keep getting better. Last year they busted out Amazing Grace and we were all blown away and it was like "How will they do better than this?" And this year they said "Here, hold my eggnog" and gave us THIS.
Come on, now. They have to plateau eventually. Even aliens and angels have limits. Right? ... ... Right?
Pentaholic here! I'm new to your channel because of Pentatonix, so thank you for all the reactions. Many of their songs make me cry and this is one of them. I want you to know how disappointed I am that people have given you a hard time about this or that. I'm loving your reactions and you make me laugh so please keep doing what you're doing. In todays world we just have to keep soldiering on!
You really need to react to O Come All Ye Faithful by PTX. They took this standard and flipped it upside down, sideways, inside out, added a new rhythm and so much joy it's contagious. A beautiful homage to Kevin's family roots.
My guy......their cover of The Prayer is simply magnificent. There's no other way to describe it. When the wall of sound hits it literally leaves you breathless. This is their crown jewel. Their shining moment. This is beyond beautiful.

So smooth and they make it look effortless - though I know it took work. Sometimes when a group does this song it starts to feel like a battle between "leads". This piece was so well balanced and just... right.

You can hear Matt even better in the live performance, but I'm glad you gave him his props here, too... the reactions to this song have been so great, except for with Matt, who way too many overlook in this complete vocal flex from the whole group.

All things in their own time... Scott spent several weeks studying Italian to perfect his pronunciation. There is a live version that I like even more! A d since you're more amenable to Christmas music, may I suggest: O Come All Ye Faithful. Little Drummer Boy. Carol of the Bells. White Winter Hymnal. And on and on! 😅 (PS your ring light reflects quite a bit off your glasses... But this room looks very nice!) 🙂
The laughter of children seeing things for the first time, of experiencing wonder, it does change people. I'm glad Christmas is opening up for you somewhat. Been with you a long time and when you cover Home Free you get it. They have a way of honoring the lyrics to the point that, whether it is a cover or an original, it takes on their emotion and personal touch. You always feel the story. The story can be comic like 'Hillbilly Bone', romantic like 'God Bless the Broken Road', or sole stirring like 'Brothers in Arms', they are masters at making the story an event to be savored and felt to the core. You are right, they always "do the damn thing".

I know this is the season for Christmas music, but if you haven't listened to their "Lucky Ones" album you should bgive it a listen also.
