This really saved me! I spent hours struggling with creating multiple and independent map frames from the same/original map where edits from one map frame were affecting contents in other map frames. Now, I can get rid of it by creating generic maps as you demonstrated here.
Thanks for getting down to the point so quickly. I am struggling with the arcmap to arcpro transition and most videos are like yeah yeah... but please just answer the basic question. This was JUST RIGHT!
Thank you for this piece. I initially made an inset map, but I wanted to remove some information on the inset. Your video provided me with another method of going about it. Thanks once again.
Another good way to accomplish this is to save the Map frame by going to the Share Tab --> Save As Map 'Map File'. Then, go back to the Insert tab and choose Import Map. This works real well if the maps need to reference the original. Good luck!
As you know, Esri products (Desktop and Pro) are Windows-based programs. I run them on a Mac OS using Parallels (it’s a virtual desktop that allows you to run Windows OS within Mac OS). I find Parallels better than Bootcamp because you can run Windows and Mac OS concurrently.

This was an excellent short video that taught me how to do this for my GIS class. Thank you so much! Awesome

I have some unwanted metadata that I did not add myself in one of my map frames. How do I get rid of it?

Which app did you used to install ArcGIS pro in Mac os?
