Your mantis shrimp seems so gentle. They're intelligent animals, and seem to only strike when they perceive a threat or are attacking food. Anyways, great video! Thank you for sharing.
He is so gentle! I've watched your other videos with Bruce, and how you explained that giving Bruce alot of places to hide and feel safe is why he has always been so relaxed. I don't have a Mantis yet but I hope when I do I can make sure he feels as safe and relaxed as Bruce does.
I love his excited little flutter towards your hand. Also I appreciate that you focus more on making sure your pets are safe than on grabbing a shot of a dramatic moment. Definitely have stopped watching a few exotic animal UA-camrs who persistently delay rescuing their animals to get it on camera. I'd much rather hear the aftermath of a successful rescue than watch someone fumble potentially life or death situations because they're trying to not bump a tripod.
@KungFuShrimp Utterly fascinating. Intelligence of the scale. Breathtaking. I could watch him all day. Definitely something I'd like to keep and study. Marvellous. Keep the kids coming. 😊
Bruce is so beautiful! 🥰 Curious, though. How did you manage to emergency start the new tank without the 4-8week startup time to cycle? I've done it once successfully to save my freshwater shrimp from a problematic tank, as well. I honestly thought everyone was going to pass away, yet somehow, they didn't. It's been amazing and I still don't know how or why it actually worked. Thought, I would ask you how you did it, maybe shed some light on what I accidentally did right. 😅😂
By using all the water and rock from the established tank it helps to minimise any cycling of the new tank. It's definitely a big risk though but sometimes you don't have a choice 😱. Thanks for watching my videos, it means a lot to me (and Bruce). Keep an eye out for a more organised transition (hopefully) when I move Bruce into his new tank in my next video.
@@KungFuShrimp Ahhhh! Okay. Same method I used. Move everything and pray. 😂 Thanks so much for responding! You guys both rock. 💛💛 Look forward to seeing more amazing content.
So awesome. People often think fish are "dumb" and people are so smart. Your peacock shrimp seems extremely aware, inquisitive and like a quick learner. I have always wanted one since I was a kid. What size tank do you have? This movie might just motivate me to finally get one!
Babe wake up, new Kung Fu Shrimp video dropped!
It is amazing to see the bond and trust developed between the two of you. Also, I can’t wait to see another video, so please hurry!!!
A new video is coming, sorry it is taking so long!

Thanks!
Forgot to mention, our shrimp, John Sea-Na, raps on the glass when he’s hungry, until he’s fed. I’ve apparently been trained by my mantis shrimp…
More videos!!!🎉, it’s amazing the bond you guys built
Love that your back :) I can feed my peacock mantis with my hand, he's so chill.
Nice to see you back!
Really nice videos. Will look forward to your next one.

Just got our Peacock Mantis…and within 2 weeks, hand feeding it krill…
What kinds of foods are you feeding him? And where do you purchase it? Thank you in advance :) Your videos helped me a lot
In this video I feeding frozen cockles in their shells which I get from my local fish store
I would love to see you make a new video on Goliath. Or making him a tank!!!!!!!
He's still happily living in my sump. I'd love to set him up his own tank one day but space and cash are unfortunately tight at the moment.

He looks ... yummy!
Is this Bruce II?
Yes Bruce died
is bruce adult size or does he still have some growing to do?
What is the diameter of pvc pipe in the tank?
If I remember it is 2.5 inches but I may go up to 3 inches in his new setup to ensure he has room to grow.
Will you tell me about some good reliable places to buy peacock mantis shrimp, what are indications of healthy ones?
Can I keep dwarf lionfish and mantis shrimp together in a 45×45×45 refugium?
I would not recommend that. It's not a lot of space and dwarf lions tend to be stationary a lot of the time. I wouldn't risk it
Why don't you make things interesting and put another Mantis Shrimp in there?
