Perfect timing for terrarium tutorial! I just bought a larger glass 1 gallon “cookie Jar” at a big box store, that comes with a glass lid. Was needing inspiration to make a terrarium out of some plants I had in prop boxes that weren’t shelf space worthy and here is Roos with the perfect content! Thanks 😊
Loved this video! I have a few around the house from cheap very large cookie jars, that I already had! Loved how you did your too! ❤ A few tips based on my own experience: I’d stay away from white/colored pebbles for bottom layer,it looks good when new after a while they start looking green/brown from the top soil,I use Leca, I wouldn’t recommend fertilizer as you don’t want your plants to grow to fast,I used worm castings in the mix,try and keep in mind small leaf plants as Roos did. When they start growing to much I find the nearest node with my fin and cut it there and use the top for propagating,it’s a never ends prop box if you look at it that way.Another thing,if you don’t have a lid for your round glass container,I found clear saucer trays used underneath pots as a lid,hot glued a large bead on top of tray/ lid as a handle for easy lifting, you can use anything around your house! Even a clear glass plate that’s thin of cause! Hardly ever have to water it! Charcoal is very important as Roos said,it keeps the water from going stagnant! As I like fairies,I’m always on a lookout for tiny fairy related miniature’s,or natural rock, tree back the list is endless of what you can put in there,I personally think keeping things to scale is very important,as you don’t want to stick a fiddle leaf fig in a container and call it a “terrarium” 🤣🤣 Great job on your beautiful terrarium Roos! ❤ Natalie
Thats a great idea - a simple version of a back wall. Only I'm not allowed any more terrariums at the moment 🤭😅 But I can redo one I already have, I'll figure it out!
Thank you for great video. You inspired me to make the same glass box that you have in hoya babies terrarium. My favorite videos that you make is about garden centers, botanical gardens and this about terrarium. Than you for making such nice content 😊
Have you made a terrarium before? Or wanted to but didn't know how/where to start? I hope this helps!

Amazing!! Can't wait to see it
I would love to see another video like this but with a taller one with a built in back drop!! Like a simplified version

That's awesome to hear! 👌🏻❤️
Like the labisia but it is expensive over here in Scotland/UK!
Yeah they're slow growing so can be pricey - and with importing it's risky for getting poached plants
I totally killed a terrarium by overwatering the plants in inside. Should really try again. Thanks for the tips!
Awww shit yeah it's a balance that takes time to find and get right! I hope it goes better the second time ❤️
Hi Roos, i cant find the glas container on the website of Jysk, can you help me find it?
Hey I got it two or so years ago so they might not have it anymore! :(
we have JYSK in Canada!
Oh that's cool! I hope they still have it, couldn't find it on the Dutch site today 🙄
@@plantwithroos sadly no. 😏
