I bought my B9 Audi A4 in April 2016. It was out in Europe before that, so this generation is 8 years old! That's way too long to make owners wait for a full upgrade.

It isn't, that's what luxury German makers work to, an 8 year shelf life with a mid life face lift. If you want a new shape every 6 years go and buy a Hyundai. You did well to have a car for so long that's still a current gen so why complain?

@@cameraz99 That will devalue the brand, think about it. Who would buy a luxury car 18 months into production of that shape knowing that in 30 months the entire shape will change? High ticket items need to offer longer term value and prestige. This is the reason they evolve, as opposed to revolutionise, the look of their cars. Look how little the Range Rover has changed as an extreme example.
