I have one of these I got in an estate sale a while back. (I’m an FFL) and watching your video made me realize I’ve never fired it. I’m going to go check it out. Thanks.
I have a Bobcat and it is a wonderful pocket pistol, however it does not cycle CCI Stingers, as the casing is slightly longer than standard LR ammo. CCI Mini-mags have been flawless in the Bobcat.
About 5 years ago I picked up a beautiful Beretta 21A bobcat in 22 long rifle blued mint condition manufactured in the 1990s beautiful Walnut grips and it's got a gold medallion instead of the Beretta logo says ..(hunting and shooting sports heritage foundation special addition).. mine seems to love conical shaped bullets like Remington yellow jackets & vipers .. not one hiccup with the Remington yellow jackets and vipers
Statistically speaking 22 caliber Is the deadliest caliber in an emergency room situation. Ask the next trauma nurse you cross what most people are shot by and die by in that hospital I think you'd be surprised.
I purchased my 21A bobcat and 22 long rifle about 6 years ago used blued and mint condition $360 ..mint ... Mine likes Remington yellow jacket and viper conical shaped bullets
My late mother gave me this one around 1995, besides the sentimental value, it is an awesome shooting firearm. I don't ever remember having a malfunction, thank you for watching!
I hate your shirt !!! Great Video, My dad left me a few guns and this is one of them. Very accurate and reliable. Like you said , great for your pocket in the summer time when its hard to conceal a larger gun.
21A owned this model in blued with wood grips gun, it could not handle heavy or even moderate use, there was a part in the trigger housing that broke and could not force the trigger back to fire in double action or single action.......i had the part replaced., then sold it.....i bought it new in the 1980 's at a cost of $189.00.......it was not cheap......it never jamed, just broke down.... Here in Connecticut where gun prices are usually pretty high .. I have seen used Beretta bobcat 25 in good condition for $250 to $350. I missed out on a great deal on one for $250... Could kick myself . I already own a 90s manufactured bobcat in 22 long rifle but they are very ammo finicky.. I found my bobcat 22 functions best with Remington yellow jacket and viper conical ammo... I also own a 25 Beretta Jetfire I purchased in the mid-90s love that gun and I will never sell it.. it differs from the bobcat and that it is much smaller and single action Auto only must be cocked for the first shot or carry cocked and locked
I’d love to pick one up. Beretta makes great firearms, but all firearms can have issues. I’ve heard horror stories about Beretta’s customer support. Only thing that gives me pause. Nothing worse than something going wrong with your firearm and having to deal with garbage customer service. The best customer service I’ve ever dealt with hands down is Ruger. And Kahr customer service/warranty has always done right by me too.
Perfect pocket pistol man, extreme reliability and so easy to conceal. On those days were its hot and difficult to carry a larger pistol, it's nice to have something rather than nothing.
I have both! The TPH Is awesome. I don’t shoot it much for fear of breaking then trying to find replacement parts. The TPH’s are hard to find at decent prices. Mags forget it. I do love my 21a.
Really good video. Enjoyed it a lot. Audio quality is clear but maybe try boosting it in editing. The volume is just a little soft (on my cellphone anyways)
Great video my Brother, My new Bobcat is arriving today!!!! It will be my backup choice!!!!! Great advice abought being out at some bad places at night or any other times!!!! Having something is better than nothing!!!!!! PS What ammo were you using??
Thank you my good man! I love the Bobcat, I think it was the 22 Gold Dot, I had it in a loose bag, but I think that’s correct. It has always shot great no matter what I use. The 22 is a awesome little round, it definitely has its place in the carry world. Thank you for watching and thank you for the sub!!!
@@4431charlie It’s interesting that suppressors are legal on the federal level but some blue states forbid them, man I’m sorry, this demorat movement has hurt so many ppl man. It’s destroying the his country. Get what you can, prep, train, take care of your family at all cost. God bless.
Don't sneeze at the 25 ACP either remember power wise through all the gel test that I've seen 22 long rifle and 25 ACP out of a small pocket pistol like the Beretta bobcat both 25 and 22 are equal powerwise.. but the 25 is more reliable being a centerfire and the full metal jacket 25 actually penetrates hard barriers like the skull and the sternum much better than 22 long rifle in all the ballistic test that I have seen.. unfortunately the bobcat 25 has been discontinued but there are many on the used market right on the gun shop shelf for reasonable prices I've seen around 260 to 360 in price... Great for an elderly person or a woman who is recoil sensitive and cannot rack a slide.. believe me these bobcats are the ticket.
Hey, thank you for this info! I know they made a 25, but I didn’t think about the added reliability of the center fire. Glad you brought this up so I and others can see. I have always kept away from the 25 ACP bc of the price of the ammo, but for a carry gun, you are right. Thanks again for the comment!
About the only complaint or concern is the mag capacity the 25 holds 8 the 22 is 7 both are the same size frame? I know only one round just wonder about that ? Other than that I love my little 21a
Price reflects the HIGH QUALITY. Think Rim-fire hit & miss or sure fire CENTER-FIRE ? I'll take the 25. fits in chest pocket.. 11 ounces of weight. and the center fire is more accurate. Tip up Barrel is easier for old week hands--no racking of slide. No, blow back has no reason to lock back with tip up. Beretta has been making guns about 400 years. GOOD VIDEO, THANK YOU.
Hey, you are right, I am getting older and I didn’t even think about it but the tip up is great. Especially for ppl a lot older than me. Thank you for bringing that point up and thank you for watching and taking time to put a comment in here, and for the nice words!
Hey, sorry. I'm not sure, it was some cheap stuff. I usually include in the video on what ammo that I am shooting, but I slipped up this time. Thank you for the reminder, I will next time.
Not a criticism. Seems people get self conscious about shooting this and the 32 acp mouse guns closer to targets. I think we’d all agree that these are bad breath distance guns and they have limitations. I mean, you wouldn’t shoot a scoped 308 at 10 feet for practice…why shoot these at 10 yards or more?
She has problems with slide so beretta has tip up over years tried many mostly revolvers to heavy or to big recoil she no problem finally she. Like naa black widow 22mag now it is always with her only issue those things are freakishly loud
@@n721sw North American Arms, they have a line of single action revolver. One of the most fun guns I own. I recommend that people get both the cylinders (LR & Mag) when they get one but it's not really a requirement, just nice to have IMO. I'm going to get a 4" version after I play with this Bobcat for a while.
Don't understand, bought 5 beretta magazines when I bought this gun. None including the one that came with this gun dont work . Once loaded bullets sit funky , what a piece of shit . If anybody is thinking of getting one dont , they are useless

I would have to say that my Beretta is slightly lighter weight than yours, 😂
Just wish walther would bring back the TPH. but the Beretta is nothing to scoff at.

Could you feature, the bobcat with different suppressor, long , short etc. Like an assassin's , covert gun
Thats a great idea, I need to order a threaded barrel, I have suppressors, It would be a neat video, thanks!
I'd love to see that too. Unfortunately Im in a mental democratic state and suppressors are too scary for them to let us own one.

It’s the rimmed nature of the 22, they are actually larger in total diameter of the 25, causes them to stack forward.
