Very shallow pot..I love my do in 5.5 or above.. this is a good value for small portions or sides
I believe a 5.5 regular do lid with knob will fit on this 4.25 wide.

I just bought a lot of Le Creuset and it has stickers with made in china or made in thailand on it.....unfortunately.

The design of the lid is awful. When oven hot, how do you lift the lid? The bottom handle is to close to pick up the lid without also grabbing the bottom handle!

NOT made in China....Le Creuset CAST IRON is ALL made in France. The NON cast iron items are made in China. Please get your facts straight.
The pronunciation of "Le Creuset" here hurts my ears. She says "luh crusay" and he says "lay crusay" at least once. Mon Dieu! Take an Introduction to French class!
SeikiBrian I don’t know why people get so hurt when french words are not pronounced the right way but when french people speak English with their french pronunciation people don’t go to them and say learn English the right way. So please guard your self down and respect each other and encourage everyone to do their best

False. All Le Creuset enameled cast iron cookware is made in France. You may be thinking of Lodge Manufacturing's enameled line, which -- unlike their American-made bare cast iron products -- are made in China.
WRONG. ALL their cast iron is made in FRANCE......NON- cast iron items are made in China or Thailand.
