@@brooklynbaby104 it really depends, the qualifications is quite expensive, I delayed alot because of the funds, at some point TETA couldn't sponsor, due to mis-use of funds by the institution, they kept making me repeat, just for the instructor to build hours I work in west Africa as an FO you start from 55-60k then captain, start from 95-120k Airlines in SA I really dnt think they pay much but is not bad at all,
@@tebalelomarobane8496 I’m sorry to hear that. You seem to be doing good now though congratulations. I’ve heard that funding is this industry is tricky. I have found funding (my family) who are willing to pay. I’m just worried about the salary after a CPL. is it 55-60k in ZAR per month entry level? And would you say it’s worth it?
@@brooklynbaby104 I think at Safair ones permanent is around +/-40k, so yaa it must be something you really wanna do, and jobs are tricky too,I had to go to west Africa for hours (experience), with 500hrs it was and still is hard to get a job, and you finish CPL with around +/-250hours,some go instruction route to get the hours, like I did, I instructed both in South Africa and Namibia. Is not easy to get a job with just CPL. But I dnt mean to discourage you, it's a hectic field, people start and are not fortunate to finish, and end up going back to Uni after spending alot..Unless you willing to go out and fly on contract outside south Africa.which also means you need a rating and that's thousand of rands
@@tebalelomarobane8496 wow it’s not what we think it is on the outside. It seems way easier in the US. I feel like African pilots need to be compensated way more bc of all the financial sacrifices-it’s too much and you need so many hours to get to airlines. It’s just annoying. Nevertheless I am proud of you guys. And I have a lot of respect for you Any tips? Some motivation?

How are you doing today? I want to get into aviation but I’m worried about the pay. Is it decent? Is it worth the investment?
