Hey, I'm Joe Girard with Change Grow Achieve and I'm solely focused on helping you and your teams win. I've been coaching and consulting companies all over the world and have done speaking for a number of global brands at their sales conferences. I work every day with clients in the trenches, coaching them face to face and online. Everyone can get better at selling.
I've been at this for almost two decades still just scratching the surface of what makes people tick, how to deal with the changing nature of customers, & sales in this increasingly complex digital age. The past few years I've focused on helping my clients build playbooks and conversation roadmaps.
All without having to be a "Salesy Weirdo."
I want to help you win at selling and feel good about helping more of your customers. If you you're looking for a "crush it, kill it, close it, hustle harder" kinda sales guy, you're in the wrong place. I'm sick of that "sales bro" mentality. If you know you can do more and want to level up, let's do this. Together. My goal is to help you simplify selling and have fun.
I'm just looking for cool clients and cool projects. Simple.

Same here, dissertation., individual and focus group. Thank you, very helpful.
You're so welcome!
Really cool. Thanks for the explanation. I am new to this. I am working on my dissertation and have to record and transcribe the interviews with my participants. Does it allow to have a focus group ( several participants)?
For sure. And depending on how clear the people are, it should separate them in the transcription. You can always go in and clean it up easily in Otter.ai
Great video. Learned a lot and will be pulling the trigger on the paid plan.
And if you don't use the affiliate link...you're dead to me. also...congrats!
I like this guy I believe he can help me do better with my ministry broadcast. I will check this out more.
Shalom
Thanks for this tutorial - Question - how did you use the iphone background and make a video tutorial? DId you use Camtasia for this?
Yup, Camtasia and
some free phone recorder app. Makes me look super cool, yah?
@@ChangeGrowAchieve Could you share the phone app recorder that has the hand-holding phone? Thanks
@@ChangeGrowAchieve So. Is that an app that casts smartphone screen to desktop or did you just add a video of the transcription into the image. Interested in knowing what app if the former. Thanks.
Zoom told me I need to be in the business plan and have 10 licenses to get the live transcribing feature. I only need for my research, to interview participants. I will never use it again. What are my options? Where can I set meetings, have a transcription, and not pay a fortune? thank you for responding.
Use a third party tool like Otter so you dont get Zoom bills that own your house. You should check out my pals at Refract.ai for some crazy, next level stuff.
First of all your background office look is very cool. I was hoping you might be able to share your "let's see what is going on with the phone app" - love the way the phone comes up with a hand holding it, appreciate it if you could point in the right direction so I can get it for my own use. Thanks in advance.
Ahh well, that was an image I downloaded, and the video I recorded on my phone. Then I spliced them together in Camtasia. All movie magic
@@ChangeGrowAchieve ah movie magic!! Nice job. 🤜🤛
That's an awesome background! Thanks for the tutorial.
haha, thanks and you're welcome!
I take minutes for monthly nonprofit board meeting so I am going to try the free plan. Thanks!
Oh that's great! You can also use Otter to upload any audio, not just Zoom. So if you have a recorder (a phone even) you can transcribe the recording easily.
I just found Otter, and am new to Zoom, too. Using the Otter free plan, can I record a Zoom class I want to take? I’d been thinking of setting up a cassette recorder as I didn’t know how else I might be able to save the class for review. Learning about Otter, though, it seemed it might be ideal? One question would be how to get it to start in sync with the class, as it begins...
Only the host can record in Zoom, so you would have to ask them to record and send you the audio to upload to Otter. Or, use a phone/recorder to get the audio.
@@ChangeGrowAchieve Good to know. Thank you! Another question if I may?
The host’s recording, is it video via zoom, audio via zoom, or one of the two via Otter? They seem to think visual, vs. only audio. Is Otter built-in to Zoom, where the instructor could, instead, simply send attendees Otter’s notes?
My senior college - with whom I’m working - is new to Otter, and concerned over visuals and privacy...
So to get live captioning, you need to buy the "Teams" version which means at least $60/month ($20/mo per user for a min of 3 users), and then you're limited to a max of 10 hours, so $6/hr. Do I have that right?
I'm not sure about how the pricing works, but I have been playing with the zoom connection AND the app and so far, the system works wonderfully. I would suggest doing a trial and seeing how it works for your specific needs.
Actually teams now begins at one person. We changed that detail to allow everyone access to LIVE meeting notes. Another solution if live meeting notes isn't a function you need is our premium level. 9.99 per month and it is fully integrated with Zoom + Dropbox, has unlimited imports and 6K minutes of transcription. Hope this clarifies.
@@Otterai Does Otter also work for zoom webinars? I have successfully integrated it to my zoom meetings but am wondering if I can also use it as an option for webinars...
I need something that will do a live transcription for my hearing impaired mother-in-law - more as a captioning tool than as something that will transcribe.
Get the otter app on your phone - it might do the trick
If you use Teams, it has a synchronous captioning tool.
Google Meet does this for free
Interesting review. But have you heard of anything about our startup GGLOT? We plan to launch a full Zoom support this week so you can transcribe your meetings at the wholesale prices of $0.09 per min or $5.4/hour. What do you think?
Email me at joe@changegrowachieve.com and I will happily test it out!
@@ChangeGrowAchieve Thanks. We will ;)
maybe you can answer me as zoom has a backlog of replies. Do you know if will work when we do breakout rooms in zoom? I am providing lessons and then we would like to divide people in groups using breakout rooms and continue with the live transcription
Yikes, I don't know. I have the free plan and it's been working awesome. Perhaps test it out with a small group and see what happens. Not sure even how my enterprise plan handles breakout groups. Now I'm curious and will do some of my own testing!
Not yet but we have an upcoming integration that you will probably appreciate. :)
Hi, I haven't used the transcription feature of Zoom, but in the free plan, whenever I'm recording on Zoom and having breakout rooms, it only allows one to record the room you're in, as the host. However, I don't know if the paid plans allow recording of each separate room.
Hello hope all is well with you. I have a question hopefully you may be able.to help me answer it. I have a zoom account but I don't have the zoom type of account like yours. Do you know.if there is another way to be able to transcribe a zoom meeting after recording meeting is finished? Since I am not allowed to send the recording to my cloud or local recording section under settings/recordings. Because It locked by the administration.
You can always save the meeting locally and then upload the audio to a transcription service. Otherwise, perhaps record it on your phone's voice recording app then upload that to be transcribed. Hope that helps
@@ChangeGrowAchieve thank you very much for the information. You have a good weekend
Is there a way to transcribe if I haven't checked the right settings? I have 2 large audio and video files but I didn't know about the option of saving the transcript.
You can always upload the audio afterwards and Otter will transcribe it. I do that with podcasts, myself. I also have auto-transcribe turned off by default because I have many small meetings that dont need transcription.
Want to do livestreaming from Zoom to Facebook? In this video ua-cam.com/video/8CFjlPu1fwo/v-deo.html I will show you how to do it on demand as well as SCHEDULED FACEBOOK LIVE. What other tools are you guys/gals using for transcription? Any other tips you want us to cover? put them in the comments
Can someone here confirm if you can have locally saved Zoom meetings transcribed rather than those saved to the cloud? Ethics committees for approving research are not too keen on things like interviews being saved to the cloud for security purposes, although files saved on a secure PC are fine.
Hey Nat, NO PROBLEM! You can actually take the audio from your (LOCAL) zoom recording and upload it to any transcription services like Otter and they can convert it for you. I actually turned off all the automatic transcription and do them as uploads now myself. Super simple.
How to avoid otter conversations errors typing wrongly not accurate
You need to decide whether the accuracy is a deal breaker - I use it as a sales coach and it is wonderful - it might not be you're ideal tool.
How do I stop these AI bots from getting into my meetings and webinars on Zoom?
Probably stop sending invites to em, haha. I haven't had it happen to me, but it must be with your password setup. Did you reach out to Zoom support?
You could've made this video 5 minutes long man.
I know. Or 60 minutes. It's crazy how many options we have, right?
