Does the iPad charge while docked?
Yes, it does. The driver app displays a separate battery status for both the iPad and the Double. When the Double is in use (and not on the charger), it will provide power to the iPad when the iPad battery gets low. There is a charging dock available which enables the Double to be in continuous standby mode, allowing the remote driver to connect without any assistance on the other end. When the remote driver completes his telepresence task, he drives back to the charger, and the robot returns to standby mode. Very cool.

Promising, but has so much room for improvement, looks so silly at the moment.
I mean it's an Ipad attached to a Segway, it can't really be improved aside from giving it storage, but that turns it into a completely different type of robot
