  • Finishing process of Sword 1/72 Gannet AEW.3.
It took long time for weathering & drying varnish...I'll try to increase work pace from next model.
The kit is very nice. Highly recommend if you like Gannet!

Looks insane man! I finished my gannet about 2 weeks ago and can say didnt look any where near as good as yours. Love the oil weathering and salt effects they just add to the realism and make the model look so interesting. I have just got myself some oil paints so will defiently have to try on my next plane.
If you dont mind me asking, what did you use to fill in any seem lines. I always seem to struggle to get a smooth finish, i am currently using revell plasto.

      Thank you for your comment!
I think oil paints will help you to add subtle nusances on your model. it's very fun!
Unfortunately, I don't know much about Revell Plasto, but it's possible to get good result
with any putty. The most important thing is that careful alignment, I mean, removing
"unwished stepped surfaces" before glueing parts as much as possible.
My favorite filler is Deluxe Materials' "Perfect Plastic Putty".

You can easily remove the excess with water. That means you can minimize damages
of the parts caused by too much sanding. I hope I'll show you these process in next model.
      Take care!
