Whoever is responsible for the editing, formate, and layout of these highlights, awesome job. I was very entertained from start to finish. Keep up the good work 👍🏼.
Lee proving he deserves to still have a seat in Supercars.
Yeah - maybe Walkinshaw Andretti should have looked toward him ! If the car could get it done Lee could usually get it done. Guys can really only show their stuff properly when they have the car to do it. Immaculate job for a guy who's been away from regular V8 competition a while. Actually a spectacular performance really - I don't think he put a foot wrong all week.
Yep it was so sad that Tickford kicked him out when he is clearly better than Le brocq
Best........damn.......series............on the planet!
An American here , and after following this series the past 10 years , it's still the best!! V8SC's are the best damn 4 wheel racing on the planet!
You should have seen it before Project Blue Oval and the idiots at $upercars turned it into the near joke it's become.
Hi from Louisiana USA! Some of the best racing in the world!
race was seemingly eventless till that echidna strolled onto the track. The hero we all needed.
17:08
Seeing Broc go off the track was so hard to watch. My heart was broken for him. You can see in his eyes how broken he was. Proud of you Broc. You drove incredibly ❤️
Cracker of a race. SVG drama sucked but Mozzy deserved that win. Huge congrats to JDub on a great racing career.
But can anything top an Echidna taking a stroll on Mount Panorama? We shall see...
Nature always does its part to affect the race, doesn't it? Last year it was rain, this year it was spiny creatures.
@@brandy0438 - Nah, they've had plenty of roos before, around maybe the late 90s or early 2000s someone smashed into one going up the mountain. Echidnas on the track are a rarity to say the least
Totally wrapped for Mozzy & Lee, what a driver combo & what a car, we’ll done team WAU, congratulations 👍👍
That cars been untouchable all weekend hasn’t it!?!? Well done to them indeed
Thats wright great drivers great car the mechanics behind the scene had really put a terrific car together well done great job everbody involved
Fullwood & Luff finishing 5th was also a great effort considering Fullwood is just young rookie, sad they kicked him out of the team.
Una carrera para no perderse en un circuito espectacular!! 👍👍🇪🇦🇦🇷
On the amount of choppers in the air filming this epic race at the start alone, tells you all you need to know about V8 Supercar racing.......
They are beautifully simple, but so exciting! The cars, the colours, the racing, the noise, THE TRACK! What a race series....... This 20mins has more action than a whole season of F1
I can't wait to get back to Australia and get out to Mt Panorama!
This just reminds me what a real racing series is like to watch. After the ridiculous ending to the F1 season, I think I’m going to do everything in my power to watch the Supercars as much as possible.
Also, the noise of these things at the race start was incredible!!!
It’s a good thing the Bathurst circuit was built in an earlier era because no one would ever construct such a thing today. Ludicrous track
Watching these highlights from America. Love Supercars. Fantastic racing everywhere throughout the field and I love the Mountain.
man o man, if that restart sequence w/51 laps to go doesn't give you goosebumps...
Great race. Mostert and Holdsworth were untouchable today!
Much love from the UK! Makes my morning much better
Would have been an interesting finish if SVG's tyres didn't fail. Congrats on the championship though and great to see Brodie on the podium. Have watched him race for a few years and now he's rising to the top. Great to see the new generation of drivers.
Supercars are awesome from a NASCAR fan best road racing in the world and Mount Panorama is such a fantastic and unforgiving track to drive on Iracing. The caution for the aussie porcupine was great aswell
Nice to see the Walkinshaw empire win on the mountain for the first time in ten years, well done.
This track was sent from heaven. Amazing.
im not australian but what has happened to holden is a disgrace i was so pleased to see a holden win the great aussie race bathurst just shows they should be going on
@Ronnie Southwell
No, Holden was closed because they brought out a girly, modified Opel, that didn't sell, instead of a real Commodore which is what Aussies wanted.
@@SaintKimboAye it was just a rebranded Insignia wasn’t it? I’m currently on holiday in Florida atm and they’ve got a Buick model that’s also just an Insignia shell. So not only has GM committed blasphemy in Aus by rebranding a classic into a modern day PoS, they also done Buick dirty in the US by doing the same thing.
On a positive note, I visited a place called Dezzerland in Orlando and they’ve got the genuine article Falcon XB Interceptor that was used in the first 2 Mad Max films there😍
@@TheLoamCourierMTB
Yes, it was a rebranded Insignia, not a bad car, according to the Car Journalists, but it was front wheel drive, it was 4 cylinder in common form, it was about the same size as a Mazda 6, so it didn't appeal to all the Aussie diehards, who for decades had a, relatively big, 6 or 8 cylinder rear wheel drive, 'mans car', rightly or wrongly, the traditional Holden buyer just didn't like that change of direction and the brand just dwindled and died..
The real problem started way back in the 80's with what was called the 'Button Plan' after the senator John Button who conceived it,
It gradually reduced tariffs on imported cars, which was supposed to make the local car makers, Holden, Ford, Toyota, Nissan and Mitsubishi more efficient and competitive on the world market, but it's major flaw was that these Companies were, obviously, foreign owned, and they just didn't care about Australia becoming an exporter of cars, they just bought more cars in from overseas, from their lower cost factories, and, eventually they all closed down.
There were other factors, like rising fuel prices reducing the demand for big cars, the higher wages of Australian workers, etc,
The Australian car industry couldn't survive without heavy government subsidies and tariffs, and there was a lot of debate about the pros and cons of that, over that period, and the more 'free market' inclined Liberal Government decided that the price was too high to keep them afloat, and started putting the squeeze on, and that was that.
That 25 car was so dialed in it was insane watching how easy it seemed to pull away
At 13:00 Will Davison he's pushing Fullwood. Just like bump drafting in the Nascar series
From Germany, I love♥️ the Holden V8 Supercars.
11:30 GREAT WORK EVERYBODY!!!!!! Love from Germany for this one
This was the first Supercars race I ever attended and I loved every second of it.
Congratulations to Chaz, Lee & everybody at WAU. They were THE team to beat all week. From practice, to the shootout to the race they were never in doubt. It was incredible to see how long they led over the course of the 161 laps, especially after recovering from Chaz’s puncture early on.
Also, #CheersJdub on your fantastic career! Jamie had been an idol of mine since I was young and it is sad to see his era finally come to an end. Bring on 2022.
SC for saving a echidna! I already liked Bathurst a lot but now you conquered my heart! ❤️😂👍
Best car all weekend, both drivers were fastest on the charts. Record breaking pole and King of the Mountain 2021!!!
The Teamplay move by SVG was downright insanity, but it worked
Like Shane says mate , it's the team and the engineers that give me this car , and I just drive it !!
USA: Nascar is exciting
AUS: Hold my beer
11:14 A live Echidna. Lucky me that Echidna is very lucky.
Also guest appearances by some Mobian Anthromorphic Echidnas.
I'm a Canadian, and I desperately wish touring car series, especially Supercars, was popular over here. It's so much fun to watch.
Bad luck mate !!!! I think your ( probably not yours I hope ) supreme leader won't be too happy about that ! No ill intent to you obviously.
Watching that whole sequence with 51 laps to go, watching Chaz fencing with the Red Bulls through the Cutting.....unreal. Love it!
Glad to see the echidna made it out alright!
One of the few remaining places to see a proper Mustang in a proper race
@@nathanielpillar8012 Perhaps not, maybe mostly Falcon underneath? but compared to the abomination circulating nascar tracks I'll take the down under Mustangs all day
I LOVE V8 SUPERCARS !!!! Congratulations Chaz mostert on the win for Holden !!! Funny how ford Mustang didn't even have a look in since McLaugclin left ... Also just want to thank everyone who made the series happen especially threw out covid and keeping racing going no matter what much love and bring on 2022 !!!!
11:06 Super special guest appearence.
Thanks for posting this, from a very grateful Pom who unbelievably missed it on the British TV schedules.
This and the classic muscle car series are my fav. Aus know's how to race!
Congrats to Chaz and Lee and the Team, They sat on the pole and won the race I would say that was a great weekend. Bathurst 1000 is always puts on a great show...RIP Holden and thanks for the memories.
Still got 1 more year to go mate, all holden needs now is the win next year and that’ll be the final steak in the ford vs Holden heart
Good length highlights package this year, thanks for that :)
Now this IS motor racing !!!!
Phenomenal racing! Those cars are amazing!
"A fast car saved the day".......Thanks for the highlights from Scotland.
Nice to see Chaz and Holdsworth get that result 👏
From Canada. The greatest race of the year. Too bad it is no longer available here.
This Supercars UA-cam channel had a live race subscription for those outside Aus and NZ. Chicago guy went with it for the first time and found it good value for $5.
Almost went to bed about 2 hours before this was over. Glad I stayed up. Really thought SVG on fresh tires was going to win it after all those safety cars. SVG trapping Mostert was genius. Brodie nearly taking out multiple cars forcing his way due to just being impatient I thought would get more reactions too.
Thank you for great highlights
Supercars, Nascar e Stock Car Brasil são as melhores do mundo
Love this event. Congrats!
As for someone new on motorsport in general, i think telemetry or just speedometer to see how fast the car going would be a great addition.
EDIT: Big whoops, nevermind it's already there just rarely shown.
Brodie's move was epic!!
It's a shame mate that BK had the holden , he would have been great sitting alongside Will in the Mustang , I like Anton but he just hasn't got the balls any more , where BK gets right into the thick of it .
WHAT A FUCKING AWESOME RACE ONE OF THE BEST RACES I'VE SEEN
congratulations to lee and chaz for the awesome win after a blistering charge 💪 taking their holden to the top
that 4 way battle for the lead was just amazing between waters, both redbulls and mostert
can't wait for next year
Another awesome race 👊💪💪🏁🏁
11:10 Hey Knuckles just wanna get a closer look at the race
honestly more exciting than f1 and most other motorsports
Great job editing !!!
Best car race ever...
What awesome races and cars you have over there!. So sad that Volvp gave up, :(. Regards from Sweden :)
Same here m8 they were good, it's not like they were just making up the numbers they were really competitive and I like seeing the variety in the field but alas it is what it is so long to our Swedish brothers maybe will be able to see u in the series again one day as it was not the first time you guys went home.
The best thing about today's racing is it's just like the 70s. 2 races a year, Sandown and Bathurst, and you don't know any of the drivers. Bathurst is a 20 lap race with 140 laps controlled by the pace car so everyone is on the same lap and seconds behind each other :-)
Being a part of the Tickford racing team this year was absolutely amazing and the fact that C Waters finished P2 was something else!
Amazing race..
if rossi wanted to take part in the race here, car racing would
definitely be trending😃😄
1:55 wow did they call in the army for the echidna?
Can we bring Neil Crompton and Mark Skaife over for NASCAR races... they would be much more exciting than whomever is calling races now.
11:25 STRAYA
Lee Holdsworth is such an underrated driver
Mostert you are a máster💪💪✊✊
I hoped for more for Whincup and Lowndes.... Exciting race though!
Yeah it seemed like old Lowndesy bearly got a turn behind the wheel
That was a great race.
Holdsworth's drive coupled with a great car made the difference, the right Team won on the day. Tander still the best grub in the comp.
Great Race👍🏻
One of my favourite tracks on Real Racing 3.
this circuit amazing
Davison pushing and bump drafting. Nascar style😀
what a drive!
Good result..... pity that 7 decided that taking up a quarter of the screen with the leaderboard was a good idea.
I think when you win Bathurst you should be able to to a victory lap
Brodie K, some moves there 👏🏻👏🏻
Best track ever!
Rubbing is racing 😜... Awesome race, great video. One classic race that should be on any petrolhead's bucket list, for daaang sure
Greta drive. Another great race.
I'm amazed no one crashed during that first lap.
Is there a way to watch this live in the US? or watch the full races at least
Wish we had this in America
Does anyone know anything about the exhausts on these cars? It sounds like the old NASCAR superspeedway cars
Is the press conference gonna be uploaded? Thanks
This is so FULLCONTACT racing, just great and thrilling to look at. I would have wet yellow pants from the start :D
Uppaaa Brodie
🔥🔥🔥
Love hearing Skaife holding back the tears when SVG got a flat
I wish Bathurst was as exciting as it used to be.
Love it
love the mustangs
That Echidna is the LUCKIEST little bugger on the Planet .
Have to say i thought the little fella was toast, how those few drivers managed to even see it let alone avoid it was impressive
I don’t think he came out of it unscathed. Probably deaf from that V8 roar.
Yeah should go and buy a lottery ticket
ive never seen one our in the wild before. Very cool to see, even if it was running the gauntlet of speed
Australian wildlife, so tough that even a V8 supercars do not bother it😁
