Dude says Nothing More is GENERIC, yet hasn’t listened to them for years. Tries to claim credibility by saying he’s listened to metal for years and that he’s a vocalist. Checked out his bands newest song and the mix is terrible, the riffs are copy paste metalcore one string 000, the vocals are deep fried and he doesn’t know how to scream. Nothing More is the most unique band in modern rock and even metal when it comes to sound and style and no one can copy them. This guy can’t say “Nothing More is generic” and then flaunt his shitty band. 😂😂😂
If you take in the context The spirits album was heavy and had a very unique song This song was a good pallete cleanser especially with their new song that literally just came out House on Sand its much heavier and you can tell their heading in a different direction that i personally love and is still true their sound. Id say give them another chance with their new song
I think what you are referring to is actually Zakk Cervini. He's a producer and mix engirneer who worked on all the latest Bring Me The Horizon, Bad Omens, Spiritbox, The Plot In You, and many more. If you listen closely... ALL... The drums sound EXACTLY the same (and even the guitars to some extent, but not as much as the drums). It doesn't bother me that much because I love how sharp it sounds, but it is the same. Which does make every song sound very similar. Just look up everything Zakk did recently. Even Miracle by ADTR sounds like that. And I bet he's also involved in this one. Reminds me of how every Eric Valentine record in the 2000s had the exact same drum sounds. Good Charlotte, All American Rejects, Taking Back Sunday, etc.
If we're going to keep making these videos, can we at least say "Wannabe Metal Vocaltist"? There's a reason every band you trash sells out shows and you make videos on the internet. Sit down😂
Bros hating on a really good song, ngl I checked out your band, not bad but the your new release song is a 5/10 doesn’t have that much build up, this nothing more song is a 8/10 not the best but I actually feel something when listening, also when you call a band generic you should make better music cause they sell out arenas and you make UA-cam music
@@jc1424 look dude I honestly don’t care and don’t understand why your trying to defend this guy, it’s almost 2 in the morning I ain’t finna have a argument with a fag who plays nascar
Their new song they just dropped House Of Sand featuring Eric from I Prevail blows this song out of the water. This is a good track but nothing amazing I'm sure they wanted to play it safe for their first single release but definitely recommend you listen to House Of Sand dude! \m/
Nothing More writes a lot of great hooks, and their last album was brilliant stuff through n through. A lot of cool cadences and good execution. You're not wrong about the lack of impact this song makes. I can tell their sound apart from other bands, but all they have here is their signature sound going for them.
This is a very honest opinion I can't disagree with. I am a huge fan of Nothing More, and I don't dislike the song, but I agree most what is said in this assessment. It feels a bit safe/sterile, and leaves something to be desired. To me, it doesn't quite have the "it" factor I felt on songs from the self titled album that I have had in my listening rotation for nearly 10 years. Nevertheless, I am still excited to hear the new album when it comes out!
As a huge Nothing More fan, this song doesnt do a whole bunch for me, it feels very "safe" and processed, but I also wasnt a huge fan of their radio singles from the last 2 albums... until I heard them in the context of the albums, so it might grow on me, but between the production and the structure, this feels like its the "poppiest" track they've ever realeased.
I stopped supporting this band after the singer escalated an argument with his girlfriend to the point that he shoved her out of the touring van and then ran her over. She was hospitalized with multiple broken bones, collapsed lungs, and broke various spinal bones. They’ve already been removed off multiple tours and Australia won’t book them anymore because of it. Such a shame…
The full context of that seems to be that during the argument she began to hit him in the face with a beer can. He threw her out on the grass but before he drove off she reached back under his truck and the rear tire ran her over. There were also a lot of people who came forward to talk about how abusive his ex was, both physically and emotionally. This song is even about him trying to get out of that abusive relationship.

Nothing More has been a band since 2003 when I was 2…I hope they found success at some point😅I’ve only just started in 2018🤷🏻♂️

Oh and too lastly add your vocalist will
Never have the vocal range as nothing mores singer
this isn't hate, this is criticism
you didn't listen to anything he had to say and just brought up popularity and who's music is better
@@jc1424 no I did he said the music was good but it was generic, the man can’t call this song generic if his shit band isn’t producing bangers
@@Eth2k17_X That isn't relevant to the criticism. And yes he can, he just did.

Listen to their last album spirits, it is their heaviest album and probably their best
You might be the only one who doesnt like this.

You clearly don’t know the whole story
Oh shit
Stop spreading misinformation. This is just awful and you’re just a terrible human for doing this.
Wild how you left out any and all context from it. Claiming it was all Jonnys fault after all the info came out is just plain stupid.
