Had my anniversary dinner there last month. Wonderful food and staff! Can't wait to go back for next season.
He is so humble and calm. So proud of you sir.
I was fortunate to experience Clover Hill in August with my daughter on her birthday - it was absolutely amazing and Mr. Mitchell (and his team) deserve all the accolades they've received.
Makes me sooooo inspired as a man of color to see this! Being a self taught self, this is so inspiring to me!! Congratulations 🎉
But I thought white privilege keeps the black man down?????????? Apparently Michelin didn't get the memo.....
This is beautiful, I’m so proud. Congratulations!!!!
Congratulations to him🎉 He has a quiet gentleness 🙋😉

Congratulations to him and his staff!
1:19 "If you wanted to be a chef, in a restaurant, you know, the value of on the job training was much more valuable than being in a classroom with textbooks and student loans."

Congratulations to this Chef
I think where most people say intuition... it is important for y'all to know that THIS IS SOUL FOOD! Cooking from your will to share your love of food, is just amazing! As a fellow Midwestern and 31 yr old, it is a dream to work with this man!
Good for him, great example of proving anyone can overcome obstacles in life to succeed....not my kind of food though.....nice modest and humble man
Started out in fine dining & served a black couple on a date. Told the guy that the steak dinner (filet mignon) he was ordering wasn't prepared like he was thinking (it was a super small portion w/eatable flowers) and suggested the prime rib w/all the fixings but he still ordered that filet mignon dish & when it arrived he was looked at funny and said, "I'm a man. What's this? Where's the rest of the steak." Right. I told the cooks and the chef and they laughed. We took good care of him and gave him the MANLY STEAK 😁
When it arrived *he looked at me w/a funny look* and said (corrected)
@@EnriqueSebastian-vd9uoyeah, not certain why prefacing the anecdote with the couple’s race was an important detail to point out, but it neither added to nor would it have detracted from the story. You could have just stated you served a couple. You can try it-just replace “black couple” with Interracial couple, or gay couple, or older couple, or Hispanic couple…you get the point, yeah..? Also, most people who have ordered a steak at a restaurant, I think, have done so by size-whatever the cut. A 12oz Porterhouse, a 9oz strip, a 6oz filet, etc…If the portion size is not indicated on the menu, you can simply tell the customer the weight and that should greatly reduce (if not eliminate) the take-backs for that reason.
Congratulations!👏🏾🎉🎊
Most importantly to me was the Wisdom that came out of his mouth 👏👏🥂
Congratulations!
This is genius level. Congratulations, Chef Mitchell!
Smiled throughout this incredibly inspiring video.😊😊😊
Congratulations, wishing you much success.
Congrats young Bro!!!
Such a great story.
Congratulations!!!
Wonderful story!
Wonderful! Congratulations!
Wow, 2nd black chef to get a 2nd star? Dang! Well Im glad he is kicking @ss! Stay motivated CHEF!
Great piece ❤
"Why so small portions?"
Answer: When you fine dine, you want to TASTE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE and absorb the experience of quality while taking in a lot of quantity, so your not so full from 1 dish.
Its supossed to be small portions so you wont be overwhelmed!
He’s remind me of myself. Such a humble chef. I’m happy for him
Wow 🤩- this is awesome! I hope to get to NYC to try it
So beautiful.lovely display of culinary cuisine.must visit this restaurant
Congratulations...Wonderful story!
He’s amazing to watch!!! I hope I get a chance to taste his food one day.
Loved the Clover Hill experience. I highly recommend
Fellow Detroiter STAND UP!!!!! #detroitvseverybody 🙌🏾
Awesome success story! Well deserved!
Congrats to the chef and his team. Great accomplishment. Is the title of the video wrong though? It sounds like he retained his one star as opposed to getting a second star.
They can also take them away
Detroit stand up!!!
Amazing!
Great job young man!!!
I would FLY there from Texas just to eat....
Can’t wait to try his masterpiece’s❗️
AMAZING! ❤
The wisdom he exudes at such a young age is something I want a piece of. I downloaded a version of that tattoo as further inspiration! He is doing n excellent job! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Wonderful
Congratulations king, we see you
I really want to eat his food at his restaurant!
Loving this because I love Chefs.
The portions are small because there are 12 courses; you have to pace yourself. Smaller portions allow you to taste more and that’s what fine dining is all about.
Loved this segment! And what an incredible and delightful interview! I really enjoyed her energy and interview style.
Congratulations
Amen brother
Very nice, Sir Congratulations!
Awesome.
Wow fantastic!
Great story! What an American dream!
Hey Michelle. Great interview

Lord protect this young man at all costs 🤎🦾🙏🏾

Okay.
Okay 😅
Awesome
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿 amen and congratulations CM💚✨!!!
So dope ! ❤
I guess I am not for fine dining. None of that stuff I would eat, but kudos on this gentleman and his achievements!
Why not? 😂
