This is so precious - especially the moment when grandma is feeding the little girl. Beautiful! Love the simple honesty of the way food is prepared from scratch. What a gift to your family! May the many of us who live in London, England and overly rely on the 'convenience' of supermarket pre-prepared "food humbly learn lessons from these seasoned women who wisely choose home cooked meals from scratch to nourish their families with.
delish. in Spanish is called panas. and they are so good. it can be fried also. love nana she is such an adorable nice to watch her cooking with such patience. the little girl is cute.
I just love this channel so much! Just the sounds of the Jungle around them, the way the grandmother interacts with the child. It is so wholesome and lovely to watch.
I love this granny she remind me of my grandmother who is 79 and well. I am from Guyana South America here we boil the breath fruit the same way but we fry it up together with pepper eshellot or scallions onion and oil here it's called boiled and fry .We also do chips and put it in soups
This is so lovely! The sound of the birds, your mama cooking outside, her granddaughter. All so beautiful. Thank you I want to come and learn the authentic ways of cooking like this
Good Stuff, I like all your video's, Your video's are very interesting, and well made. There was a video of Someone Mom cooking a King Cobra, was it yours? What part of the world is this?
Ansi Basi Is she not indian.Never said it was east indian food. The food she uses are similar in my culture. And east indian introduce it to our culture.I dont expect a indian in different region to cook the same dish.
I would love to spend a day with your mother in the kitchen! I love the way she makes use of her tools! Impressive!♥️ love hugs and kisses to your mother!!!!!
Thank you for sharing some fantastic meals - I now have a better idea of what I am looking at when I go to our Asian Supermarkets and feeling rather adventurous (and more confident) in trying some of the gorgeous vegetables (I'm vegetarian). I'm beginning to feel like part of the family.
In my country name is *SUKUN. Exactly what we serve here same like she did,if those fruits too soft you can add sugar deep fry with flour(kind like fried Banana) and taste more delicious to me, but sadly kids nowdays doesn't know old generation food, they only eat modern food which is not healthy actually. I been noticed actually Indonesian and Indian food just too similiar with same taste(like spicy food). Thank's Ama to remind us our grandparents breakfast, stay healthy 😍
Watch "Mutiny on the Bounty" with Marlon Brando or "The Bounty" with Mel Gibson. There's some history on breadfruit in those movies. Back in the day, it was quite a commodity.
You are absolutely right. Wonderful with dried fish also make the very best codfish balls. Delightfully!!!!!!! With a glass of cold red rose wine !!!!!!! Not for breakfast but for lunch and not for dinner too heavy.
my recipe is you can steaming your breadfruit afther that you can put grated coconut for toping and also toping with liquid brown sugar , the secod one you can makes chips with breadfruit, you cut very thin and spice up with garlic, pepper, salt and turmeric and then you fried until crunchy
Amazing! I would imagine the little girl is used to eating the hot chili peppers! I love roasted breadfruit, it so delicious. Funny how it tastes like bread too, lol! Yummy!
we have tons of breadfruit on hawaii. On the street I live there is a lady who has a tree right on side of road and no one eats the fruit from it as far as I know. I see fruit on the ground often.
Hi. Mom thanks for your cooking, you are very clean and hygienic, I did watch many of your videos, you are strong and have patience. Once I tried this vegetable very testy, next time I will try your recipe. Regards. Zz from Canada 🇨🇦.
Its not delicious till the little girl shakes her head..... she has a sophisticated palate that lass. Try getting a western child to eat breadfruit with onion chilli paste - AND like it. I am rapidly becoming a big fan of our little food connoisseur.
this is one of our country's delicious food. breadfruit cooked with skin removed by using a scraper. we used an empty can and cut about 2cm long and use it scrape the breadfruit. then cut and then boil until cooked. just like the old lady did. scrape the coconut the way she did and then squeeze out the cream use the coconut husk to make a strainer but you have to wash it clean. add little water to the cream if you dont want it to be thick or else leave as it is. add onions and some salt not much. once the breadfruit is cooked, pour out the water and put the pot back on the stove, make sure there is no more water inside. pour the coconut cream and let it boil for few minutes once it's boil remove from the fire and then ready to eat. taste so so so yummy. we can also cook the breadfruit using an earth oven.
Honey Bunches where is little cupcake. That's my name for those little sweeties. Now I Know what to do with that thing I see in my grocery. Thanks grandma 😀
Sooo i make this food to, but I'm not from Sri Lanka. The difference is i put all together in the pot and cook it down, using coconut milk...absolutely delicious. I'm curious though why did she put tumeric and salt to wash it?..good job granny🌷🌷
this same method u can do with tapico also and this raw jackfruit can be made just like mutton curry same method will taste heavenly and with sambhar as well u can do withthis jackfruit.

The breadfruit resembles what we call “horse apples” in the southern USA. Not considered edible. It’s the fruit of the bois d’arc tree. The wood was used by native people to make bows. Bois d’arc means bow wood.
