This is so precious - especially the moment when grandma is feeding the little girl. Beautiful! Love the simple honesty of the way food is prepared from scratch. What a gift to your family! May the many of us who live in London, England and overly rely on the 'convenience' of supermarket pre-prepared "food humbly learn lessons from these seasoned women who wisely choose home cooked meals from scratch to nourish their families with.

In my country name is *SUKUN.
Exactly what we serve here same like she did,if those fruits too soft you can add sugar deep fry with flour(kind like fried Banana) and taste more delicious to me, but sadly kids nowdays doesn't know old generation food, they only eat modern food which is not healthy actually.
I been noticed actually Indonesian and Indian food just too similiar with same taste(like spicy food).
Thank's Ama to remind us our grandparents breakfast, stay healthy 😍

Its not delicious till the little girl shakes her head..... she has a sophisticated palate that lass. Try getting a western child to eat breadfruit with onion chilli paste - AND like it. I am rapidly becoming a big fan of our little food connoisseur.

this is one of our country's delicious food. breadfruit cooked with skin removed by using a scraper. we used an empty can and cut about 2cm long and use it scrape the breadfruit. then cut and then boil until cooked. just like the old lady did. scrape the coconut the way she did and then squeeze out the cream use the coconut husk to make a strainer but you have to wash it clean. add little water to the cream if you dont want it to be thick or else leave as it is. add onions and some salt not much. once the breadfruit is cooked, pour out the water and put the pot back on the stove, make sure there is no more water inside. pour the coconut cream and let it boil for few minutes once it's boil remove from the fire and then ready to eat. taste so so so yummy.
we can also cook the breadfruit using an earth oven.

The breadfruit resembles what we call “horse apples” in the southern USA. Not considered edible. It’s the fruit of the bois d’arc tree. The wood was used by native people to make bows. Bois d’arc means bow wood.
