Antalya is a Turkish holiday city with its Old Harbor full of yachts and beaches surrounded by big hotels. It is a gateway to the southern Mediterranean region of Turkey, known as the Turquoise Coast with its blue waters. The ruins date from the period when Antalya was an important Roman port. These include Hadrian's Gate, built in honor of the Roman emperor's visit in 130 AD, and the 2nd-century Hıdırlık Tower with a view of the harbor.
What did you use for transportation and going to these places please? We are looking to stay close to city centre but would love to explore as much as possible
Hi! The best option is of course to rent a car. But all those places are accessible by public transportation. It’s not gonna be a direct bus most of the time and you will need to walk from the bus stop to the spot. You can use Google maps to check bus routes. And there is an app called Antalya Kart that shows bus schedule and real time location. So you can plan your trip in Google maps and then check the Antalya Kart app to track buses. The only one that’s a bit too tricky is Aspendos. You should take a bus to Serik from the bus station and then hop off somewhere on the way and take another local bus. So it’s a lot easier to rent a car for 3-4 days and see Aspendos, Perge, Teleferik, Karain Cave and Guver Canyon.
In Antalya city cleaning and sweeping services work pretty well. Public busses are cleaned and washed too of course. What we noticed is that there is a lack of trash bins around the city in general. You are walking along the street and simply cannot see any bins. So that’s why sometimes people tend to throw empty water bottles and such just randomly on the ground. And as long as people in Turkey smoke a lot, they drop cigarette butts everywhere around. So if city cleaning wasn’t doing it’s job, you’d immediately notice it 😅
Hi To get to Perge, depending from where you start check out the T1B tram (the one that goes to the Expo) or AF04A bus. We used AF04A and then took a walk from the bus stop. You can use Google maps to figure out which bus works better for you. To get to Aspendos it’s better to rent a car. The only way to get there by public transport is to take a T1B tram, then at the end of line take a bus SA19 to get closer to the town of Serik. And from there you’ll need to take a taxi anyway to get to the entrance of Aspendos. But it’s a short ride. The cable car is about 20 km away from Kaleici. You can get there by bus. Also check Google maps for the most convenient route and bus number. We took SD20A bus. Hope it helps.
In Adobe Premiere you can put text with the channel name in any corner of the video at the bottom or top for example where you provide credits. That’s it :)
