A 12 hour puzzle challenge to end the year!!!! Yes!!!!
I liked you decluttering your puzzle collection. You have a get channel that is growing
I would have such a hard time getting rid of a puzzle I hadn’t done yet. You did a great job so far!
I did the Trick or Treat Hotel in a 300 piece. I love the Winnie the Pooh puzzle. Will keep that one in mind.
Cavalinni (sp) puzzles are great. I have the color chart one that I loved.
Good choice!
You are only bringing one box to temporary housing?? That better be a big box!!! 😄😄😄 Great video. Yes there is something to be said about decluttering the stash. And I have to say I literally LOL'd when the idea of working the 500pc puzzles for a 12 hour puzzle challenge popped into your head. You got so excited!!!! Looking forward to that video as well.
lol yes - love when a good idea comes into my head. The one box is going to be quite small since everything we will need has to fit into the truck of our car. Luckily there is a whole new area with thrift stores to expore!
I can’t wait see how many puzzles you get through for your puzzle challenge. So fun!
It ended up being close to 80 puzzles!
I loved the All Good Things are Wild and Free puzzle! Also, the Yankee Wink Hollow puzzle went together super quickly and could be added to your 12 hr challenge.
I really want to take my time with it so will probably keep it for my pile for next year.
I have the Cavallini puzzle Bees and Honey and loved it. Love Gallison puzzles too.
Good to hear!
I think you got quite a bit accomplished. The Winnie The Pooh is really cute. I think it will be a fun one. Every once in a while I get a good haul from my thrift shop. Because I really don't have an attachment to them I put them together and then donate them again for someone else to enjoy.
That was so fun- when you get settled let me know if you'd like to try one of the "magic puzzles' I would gladly send one over!! They don't hold together for crap but the images and "magic" portion are super fun!!
I've heard of that brand! I'll let you know. Thank you!
We did the USA flag puzzle but in a family style cut with 3 different sized pieces. It was very fun!
Oooo fun!!
All Good things are Wild and Free is such a fun puzzle! Enjoy
I’m not a fan of Eurographics, either.
You will love having movers! Makes moving so much easier!
Yes we've had movers for several of our moves and it's like - hey guys, can I help??
Sometimes it is so hard to let go of things, You did a great job of decluttering!
Thank you!
looking forward to your12 challenge. Merry Christmas!
Same to you!
I would love to do that minty fizz puzzle!! I want to wish you and your family Merry Christmas along with a Happy and Healthy New Year!!
Happy Holidays!! Hope you had a great Christmas!
Glad you keeping the Winnie the Pooh puzzle. Love to win the antelope puzzle. I have a Radleys donut puzzle too. Love the quality. Guess is simpler to the cavallini & co puzzle that you have.
Good luck!
Fun to hear your keep, pack, pass on to others, 12 hr challenge “candidates” thought process as you decluttered
Glad you liked it!
That was quite a big pile, you should be proud. I have such a hard time parting with things!
Thank you!
Also no need to enter me on this- it's STUNNING but I think I would struggle with it and I know there will be someone else who for real loves it :)
This is my first sub to a jigsaw channel. I appreciate your opinions about the various brands. Question - What are your favorite brands in terms of puzzle quality? Thanks!
Welcome to the channel!!! Favorite brands for quality - Ravensburger, Jacarou (although a bit shiney), Antelope (they have a paper backing, but it stays together really well), & schmidt
I love Cavallini puzzles! It's hard to part with puzzles but in Montreal, there is a puzzle warehouse that takes donations of puzzles, sells them at a discount and donates the proceeds to a women's shelter. (Pretty eye makeup by the way!)
Thank you! That's an awesome way to repurpose puzzles!
Are you referring to the Puzzles for good initiative by Jigsaw Jungle?
I love watching unhauls. Great video!
Thank you!! 😊
Always hard to decide what to keep and what to pass on. Going by the 'will I do it again' method does help. The 500s you put by for the 12 hour challenge look good. I do not have the space to keep large quantities of jigsaw puzzles so most of mine get passed on to the local community. I hope all goes smoothly for your move next year and that you have great Christmas.
Thank you! Merry Christmas to you too!
Oh I loved this video! Can’t wait for the next part! This has inspired me to destash some of my puzzles!
I'm so glad!
oh that ravensburger carnival is a lovely one- I found you during Halloween and loved the themed puzzles and stories!!
I have more of those stories for next year!
Good luck with your move
Thanks!
Wish we were neighbours so I could trade with you. You give away some good ones!
Buffalo game puzzles ARE small though and easy to pack!
True - but if I don't see me doing them, it still takes up space. Would much rather find a home where people will do them.
The 12-hour puzzle challenge sounds like fun.
It's always a fun day!
OH Crawdads is an amazing listen!! I have to look that brand up!
It's one of my favorites! I've listened to it twice, read the book and watched the movie.
Last time we moved I did not have as many puzzles as I have now. I would not like to move them now. I feel for you. But then, I already had over 2000 books at the time of that move, so...LOL
Books are much heavier... so I think I'll stick with puzzles ;)
I wasn't that familiar with Antelope, but that puzzle is beauuuuuuutiful
Yes it is! I've been really enjoying this brand!
I love watching your videos!
Thanks for watching!
oh boy- only 1 box of puzzles with you!! AAHHHHH
I know - luckily there is a whole new area to explore to find puzzle stores and thrift shops
I have and worked on Written In the Stars 1500 pcs Buffalo Games is the same image as the Follow Your Destiny 750 pc you showed and rejected. Puzzle was fun until the only part left was the trees. Then I was dead in the water. Tried sorting by shape. Didn’t help. Too many dark pieces and same texture pieces. I put it back in the box in sections with the tree pieces in a Ziplock until my skill or patience or tenacity increases.
I could see that section being tricky. The sky looks pretty though!
Glad you're keeping the CW Halloween one. I love it and do it every year. BTW, his Noah's ark one was tough (for me, anyway). I also have the Buffalo Games nature one, haven't done it yet, either, LOL!
I think the CW Halloween one will be fun!
The haunted mansion one sells for a decent price on Mercari. That’s where I bought mine and then resold it because I hated the quality lol
The quality is the worst!! I got mine in the park and was able to use my discount at the time... but was so disappointed.
Where did you get your shirt? I love it!

I donate my puzzles to a local university senior citizen club. My sister works there and she says they always need new puzzles. Well...new to them lol
That's awesome!! I usually donate to a local veterans organization.
Hi Peggy. You've won the giveaway for this video!! It's the Antelope Earth Puzzle. Please email me at thecasualpuzzler@gmail.com with your shipping info.
I’m proud of you. Just don’t know if I could you it 😂
Sure you can - just find one a week that you can part ways with.
I just bought Follow Your Destiny by Buffalo for bingo on your Facebook group. I’m using it for the Space theme square, I hope it counts. I know it’s technically astrology themed but I thought maybe it was close enough?
Well astrology is based on constellations... so it counts :)
I don't know what a 12 hour challenge is, but I will find out because I'm sure you will do a video! Looking forward to that!
You are only taking one box with you to temporary housing, but that's OK. Because you can find all the thrift shops around where you are moving to and find new puzzles there!
I'd be nervous about someone else packing my puzzles, will you tape the boxes shut or something to make sure they don't lose pieces?
What will you do with the puzzles you are letting go? Will you donate them or give them to friends?
I have a self-imposed rule, I do a puzzle only once. I have too many puzzles and not enough space! So once I've completed a puzzle it goes to either my sister, or a friend or a puzzle swap, or I donate!
I really enjoyed watching you go through your decision-making process.
They are VERY thorough when packing. We've gone through this process before and am not too worried. Putting them in ziplocs is a good idea though. We are having a big yard sale so I'll try to sell some, the ones that don't sell can be donated to a local veteran's organization that takes puzzles.
Hi, spelling mistake in the title of the video. It should be decluttering.
Good catch! Thanks!
I would have such a hard time getting rid of a puzzle I hadn’t done yet. You did a great job so far!
Thanks!
