Found a used one at a local music shop. At the shop I did some picking on it. Initially it didn't impress me that much but I'd been shopping for a tele and it checked all the boxes (plus the benefit of the added mod features - again, something that wasn't a priority but a nice bonus). Bought it, got it home and now it's a favorite. What I like the most is the neck, SUPER comfortable. Mine is kind of heavy but that's the only complaint I have.
The actual original 1952 Telecaster was more yellow/tan than this pumpkin/orange/amber color. If you look at the American Vintage Series '52 Reissues (2012-2017), that is the most authentic color reproduction for an original '52 Telecaster. Not this amber color.
hi you still happy with your tele was thinking about getting one did look at the American pro but like the gloss on the neck a lot better on this version Cheers
Just got one and just love it. Build quality is A1, fretwork is good, Sounds fantastic, A real keeper.😍 Should hold its value pretty nicely too, as Fender have stopped using Ash in production models - which means this Ash butterscotch one is no more. Apparently they getting involved in planting, but anticipate 40 to 50 years before they will have enough instrument grade Ash to use.
I finally got myself a Vintera after waiting two years for a good price on a used one. Somehow I got the heaviest one in the world (8 lb. 12 oz.), but despite that it's a terrific instrument.
I'm a Fender guy but all my friends are Les Paul people. I have one too, but whenever I play my Strat they're like wow how did you get that sound? My answer is I just plug it in.
Yeah, I thought the same thing until I found that the used Baha's are going for the same price or more. So I bought one just like he's playing here. My first Tele and it plays and sounds beautiful! No regrets.
I went shopping for an AO 50s. I played two new and one used. Then I played this Vintera Modified. I bought the Vintera. Sounds just as good as the AO 50s - but different, the neck pup is a Twisted Tele - plays better, neck is better. I can live without the nitro finish. And I saved $600.
This might be the worst guitar I've ever had, and I've had some dogs. Misaligned bridge plate with screws that just goes round without grabbing anything, fret ends sticking out of the fretboard, very uncomfortable. The QC of the Mexican models is non existent. Avoid these.
@@KC-yi1td They sometimes get things right I suppose. I still have a MIM Classic 60s Tele, which is ok, but it has ridiculously big butt cracks on both sides of the bridge plate and the holes for the strings are visible from the edge of it. Also had an MIM Standard Tele with various issues. I have lost faith in the Mexican made stuff unfortunately, I'm buying US stuff now.
Classic vibe does not have an ash body, it’s got a modern c neck. Newer Indonesian factory models have chrome saddles and not as well made as China models. CV’s don’t have custom shop pickups. Rip off? I beg to differ
Finally, a review I was looking for. Definitely, a Tele I should have.
I like the mods. Seems pretty "natural".

This is the Baja tele just renamed. GREAT guitar. I have one.
Is it exactly the same as a baja?
Is the the same as the baja?
Thomas Durkan pretty much. Just with a better pick guard
Jesse no the neck is thinner than the Baja
Same as the Baja - re-badged and a different neck profile. Oh and around these parts, $300 extra on the price tag.
Just picked one up myself - great tele, thanks for the video!
Just bought one in surf green it rocks the joint man ,,,,,
Essa Fender Telecaster Vintera Modified 50s Mexican Butterscotch Blonde é Meu sonho de consumo
I love the colour, its not anymore damn yellow tele. It is amber like it hsould have been , just like 52 Butterscotch Blonde

Just bought one today in surf green

Cheers
So did I a couple of days ago!!!
Derek Scott I love it it’s my number one electric this one has a satin finished neck and gloss fretboard it’s really smooth
Nick how does the surf green look in person? Did you keep the black pick guard on it or switch to white?
Dustin Glass the surf green is beautiful and actually I have two pick guards because they both look great on it 🤣
I tried one yesterday and loved it. Have had my eye in the Ultra, but considering this . . .

This thing is awsome. I'm buyin' it as soon as my laptop turns on😂
I already have nine telecasters, but I feel this one calling to me!
Amazing ... Why so many?

Gorgeous guitar. Beautifully built and sings like several birds. Don’t need anything else
would this be good for classic rock?
Yes!!!!
Fantastic Tele!Great review! But how much thicker is the Soft V neck compared to a Standard C neck?
I don't think they are thicker, or at least you won't find it harder to play.
Glorius. I have the ash bodied fsr in lpb with the p90 neck pup.
I want this because i want the mix mag bridge pup.
Oh yeah.
Great vid mate
I'm a Fender guy but all my friends are Les Paul people. I have one too, but whenever I play my Strat they're like wow how did you get that sound? My answer is I just plug it in.
Got one , it’s ace 😀
Holy shit that soinds beautiful
Does this have the thick soft v neck?
Claudio Delcioppo yep
Its chunky.
Can anyone tell me the exact weight?
NO! Because every guitar weighs different!
Around 7 pounds
Basically a Baja?
I gotta, gotta, haaave one....!!!! But, I won't...$1049 is just too much. I'll just get a used Baja...
any differents from Baja? neck and profile is the same?
Yeah, I thought the same thing until I found that the used Baha's are going for the same price or more. So I bought one just like he's playing here. My first Tele and it plays and sounds beautiful! No regrets.
@@steve_anderson Yeah, I found the same thing, unfortunately.
Can someone give me an opinion on whether they would choose a Vintera Telecaster like this or a Fender American original 50s telecaster?
I’d go American original. Nitro finish so will age nicely. I’m saving for the American original double bound 60s tele
Vale apena Eu comprar Ela no Mercado Livre
Is the Vintera '50s Telecaster Modified(Butterscotch Blonde) an ash body?
Yeah
Yes, but the weenies stopped using ash.
Wow you grew beard
Baja tele with a satin neck and a price increase
Baja was never available in BSB. Vintera 50s modified for a limited period was.
@@gjm7952 No longer offered
Keep it simple.

Tx for that. These Mexican guitars are mass-produced and not all are as great as the next.
@@gertvanrooy428 i suppose so, but the one I had shouldn't have left the factory.
That’s weird. None of those issues on mine. This is my go to guitar that I pick up every night

@@ChoppaWhoppa1 yeah when I’ve saved enough I’m either getting a pro2 strat or an American original
Maybe tune the guitar though.
It's a Baja with a price increase 🙁
Yeah $250 worth bait and switch
Annoying they stopped offering with an ash body. Hello, wood is a renewable resource. SMH
Not bad for a classic vibe rip off
classic vibe? The classic vibe 50s tele is trash. With a neck thin as a razor
Classic vibe does not have an ash body, it’s got a modern c neck. Newer Indonesian factory models have chrome saddles and not as well made as China models. CV’s don’t have custom shop pickups. Rip off? I beg to differ
First!!
I don't think so pal
You’re so cool.. 😏
