BW Paraffin is absolutely AMAZING. it has a very Stretchy feel when heated. Hell, if you added a few Crayons and a little Bee's wax to the BW Paraffin, you could EASILY Sculpt with just those!

Have you tried making Tim Bruckners wax yet? ive tried it, its pretty good. it's ROCK hard at room temp.. but if you warm it up in your hands, you can sculpt with it VERY easily.. and if you melt it in a Candy Melter "Chocolate Melter, i forget the brand name but i can tell you its name, i use it daily but i forget the brand name" it will melt it to the point of it being pure liquid. it will literally run like water into a mold. it's BW Microcrystalline wax, 4 Fist size hunks, 2 slabs of Paraffin "Gulf Paraffin" 2 first fulls of bees wax, 2 fist fulls of red and blue injection wax pellets "Freeman flakes, or my favorite is Ferris brand" one fist full of Caranuba wax, i think that's all the ingredients, except Crayons. get White and Gray Crayons from Crayola. i put 3 white, 2 gray. mix them SLOWLY. you can alter the color of the wax incredibly fast. ive noticed Mr Bruckners wax comes out looking brown in the Pop Sculpture book, but im trying to go for a Grayish color, so i might go for a different color of Injection wax pellets. but the wax itself is AMAZING! i'll check the ingredients when i get home, and make sure i didn't leave anything out or get it wrong. but its better than any wax OR clay currently on the market. bar none. plus you can add more Microcrystalline wax to make it softer, add more Carnaba or injection waxes to make it harder. but mine is literally hard as a rock in 70ish Degree Fahrenheit room temp in Texas. but warmed in my hands for like, a minute? its ready to go! ive tried everything, Castilene, (Soft Medium AND hard, though the Mcfarlane version of adding 25% Carnauba wax by volume to it makes it a lot better for ultra fine details) Monster Clay Brown, Grey and Green, all of them, Soft Medium and Hard... ive tried Azbrowax, which i do like. ive even made Scott Henseys Wax for Tooling. which is also amazing. but for pure SCULPTING? Bruckners wax is 100% it. it's even better than Adam Beane's Long gone CX5.

I add also bees wax and white wax (parrafin wax) to Chavant soft clay and I got very hard wax, awesome works. of course you can use same waxes for the monster clay or similar ones. if you want the different color of the wax add what you want oil color. Great result..!

What about the microcrystalline wax? Will it work the same way if use it instead of beeswax?

Microcrystaline wax has different properties than Bees Wax. Tim Bruckners Formula calls for Victory Brown Microcrystaline, Bee's Wax, Caranuba, injection wax. ect. if you want me to list out how to make it ill tell you. but for hard carving wax, Scott Hensey is the best ive used. Tim's is an All rounder, though! you could sculpt with it, finish it, everything!

Monster Clay literally IS a sculpting Wax. its got more wax in it than anything else. but yes, you could add Caranuba into it, and it'll harden it up

Wouldn't it be easier to just use monster clay to achieve the same purpose ?

If you like Monster Clay. It’s a great product but not for me. Using his method you can easily fine tune properties for the task at hand.
I’m 63 and always mixed my own because in a small town before the internet there was little alternative. Same is true for much of the world even now.
Thanks to the video to encourage experimentation in material.
I smell the sweet beeswax and carnauba even I as I type. Time to check the pot 😊

You can buy it. I want to experiment with this though. I seen some people make their own “monster clay” in bulk which got me searching this
